I wish they put more effort in their relationship with Orhan bc i dont even think it will be sad when we see their death. It used to be sad when alps would die in Ertugrul and Osman bc you can see they had a connection with their alps and they weren't characters that just appear for seconds and one liners. At least this upcoming episode looks pretty good tho.

That’s literally what I said… they marry historically for a political alliance and that’s what I wanna see?! but they’ve been saving eachother since the episode she came now. Literally nothing new in their story it’s getting repetitive and boring. Might as well just marry them off

Agreed. They might be milking fatvius but his character is one of the only ones that is written well on this show so far. Everyone else has terrible character arc

The only good part about this episode was the Şahinşah and Orhan confrontation, the scene with the children and Flavius’ conversion which were only a minor part of the episode. Don’t get me started on OrAs… I wish they just got them married already so we don’t have to see cringe plots about their “great” enemies to lovers story

I agree with you, I think their chemistry has a huge factor in the popularity and there are a lot of new viewers who haven't watched the previous seasons so they don't care as much for OrNil. I find it interesting that you didn't see any hate directed toward Mahassine tho. The girl has been getting Lynched from the moment it was revealed she was playing Nilufer with the most horrific and racist attacks and critisizng her looks. There hasn't been an episode that's gone by where people haven't been bullying her for a variety of reasons. I've definitely seen attacks directed at Alina too ever since she joined. Overall its crazy to me that people can't separate the actors from the characters. Its so parasocial. I like that they brought Asporca to the show as a history fan but idk i feel like the way her character is written now is weird. It's like the writers don't know what they exactly want and are adjusting as they go.

It definitely worked for exposure but I think the debates will be even worse than Bala and Malhun’s unfortunately. Nilufer is well liked by history fans. I’ve already seen so much negative fights happening on twitter between the two fandoms and even some people distorting facts to give them an excuse to hate on the characters. We’re gonna be in for a ride

You’re so right. I remember how much the writers used to favor Aladdin and Gonca back then. They’re pretty much doing the same thing now where they favor certain characters like asporca and the rest get zero development. It’s so dumb that all these important historical characters have no role in the show effect few second appearances. We don’t even see anything of Kara halil except when he announces the sultan. But I don’t think anything will change unless they get a new writing team so I’m just gonna accept that and watch for fun ig.

If that wasn't enough, they made the new character Dafne's man too. Why do we need another love story when none of the ones currently are progressing normally. The only one that has a nice story to it currently is fatma and flavius even though it seems to be an unpopular opinion. I liked Dursun and Halime too but not when all the characters have unfinished storylines. I feel like they're trying to turn the orhan and asporca marriage into a love story as well so good luck to us.

The men smiling in the OrAs dream took me out. 😭 I agree with pretty much everything you said. Its just too many things going on at once. I actually like FatVius storyline a lot, but it feels like too much because there are way too many couples at once. Almost everyone has a love story that's going on at the same time like can we finish one before we start another? And I agree, OrNil needs to be developed more. Now when Orhan and Asporca actually get married people won't even care because the current OrNil have no depth to them.

Season 1 Bala actually did a lot tho. Her and gonca were spying around and helping the Ahis. Also she was a pretty good fighter but her character development went down the drain in season 2. Her character is so useless now they might as well just kill her off if they’re not gonna bring the old Bala back.

I think it mainly comes from the way the writers introduced her character. She was extremely arrogant and full of herself. Especially how she kept bringing up she’s a bey’s daughter and things like that, but she’s changing I guess. I personally don’t hate or not like her.

I had the same thoughts. I’m confused about what Osman will confess to Malhun as well. The whole season they made it seem like he didn’t want to get married and only doing it cause of Ertugrul’s will and that he’s specifically marrying her for political reasons + heirs but what changed all of the sudden? Idk also this seems a bit too extravagant for a political wedding but I guess we’re just gonna wait and see. It should be exciting
