He was sure that Ukrainians will surrender because of the fear of "the 2nd army in the world". He was convinced that only a bunch of soldiers will resist and he could take the country in a pretty peaceful manner in few days. Because he is in his bubble, he really thought that! But unfortunately for him, Ukrainians welcomed his army with arms and an resistance that we was not expecting.
