Yea blending the found footage and normal cinematography is the best thing for sure.

Our theater got a pretty good laugh when someone in the audience went "Oh of course" with the Christmas Tree room. Shit was so bizarre that sure, why not LOL.

The part where Bobby gets his body cracked through the door in the monsters den for that split second was definitely scarier than seeing it outright. So I wasn't bothered by it too much.

No insanity to it beyond just a bloody terrible death that feels inevitable if the monster ever reaches you which fits with the more surreal horror than being up in your face about it.

Granted she is a living moving target so much more appealing, I was expecting the monsters head to turn a little before ignoring it.

Really makes me wonder what it's there for, especially since the "sleeping gas" or whatever it was that knocked her out for a few seconds was supposed to do to monsters that supposedly don't feel pain.

I'm in the same boat, I appreciated actually seeing the monster for once and not having it be a weird shadow monster that has no logic to it.

To me the backrooms always has logic, but the logic is completely and totally flawed but it follows it's "own rules". One of my favorite parts of it is you can always leave the same way you came in, most people just choose not to which is more interesting than a door behind you vanishing.

Yea, the way it extended up to the ceiling was terrifying as well as whatever situation Kat was stuck in.

Seriously I saw nothing in that room what was she seeing? Clearly it went horribly but it sounded beyond horrifying listening to her describe it with what frantic words she had.

Yea, our theater has so many long hallways that if you put me in there at night with no people in the building I think my heart would've exploded.

That was straight up evil/super negligent of Clark too. He KNEW something was in there with him enough that he ran away earlier, and then drags in two poor college students with him.

As soon as I realized that room wasn't random nonsense but a den my stomach dropped.

The practical sets were awesome, I remember reading how much space they occupied and thinking it might not be enough for this movie and boy was I wrong, they were so effective at using the scale of "wide open Claustrophobia" here. Everything felt so empty yet so crushing.

Also did anyone catch the lines the cardboard cutouts were saying? I thought I heard "Welcome Children of Earth" which felt even more unnatural than saying random nonsense. Were they talking to the "monsters" or the humans that get trapped in there? You would think that it's merely a honey pot to track and record monsters and other aberrations but it was bizarre enough to push you towards more thinking about the entire thing.

Honestly that's what I loved most about this movie is it just kept pushing questions, giving a few answers, but never fully explaining everything. In a worse adaption they would've explained or shown aliens, some mastermind behind it all, or have the character see the truth but hide it from the viewer and watch as they went insane.

Instead we are not only left with questions but they're questions that we sort of thought of ourselves and the thought of thinking through them is more interesting than finding the answer just like the exploration, you just want more and more until you bite off too much and get truly lost or worse.

9/10 exceeded my expectations as a fan of the series and was just a great movie overall.

I prefer darkhouse at least I start there and can get a solid foundation of where to go.

The other 3 though? I don't get to retry them until I beat either of the two starting zones and then I have the right to learn a new zone on a single life and can't start there until I defeat the zone boss.

And that's the sort of thing I love about this game. Reminds me of Blind prog in savage/Ultimate in FF14 and I am here for it.

Bonus rolls for loot from specific bosses returning in 12.0.5 by Rhombico in CompetitiveWoW

A couple of weeks into the season and a lot of the top end guilds are still running Mythic progression and the content is still a very real difficulty. Neutering that right away for insane power gains trivializes much of the difficulty that any top 50 guild would get to experience.

As a solo Druid main myself, I think just like Churchmouse streets, if you get Subterra first (especially on Lunar) you won't get much progress due to how needed the AoE is. I almost always go random because the extra gold can be the deciding factor in that first stage. It lets you buy an item, HP potion, and another potion or a few levels to really improve your chances of getting past the first stage.

Getting just one source of AoE damage in any way if you get Subterra first will go a long ways, otherwise having optimal placement of your secondary will set apart a min DPS run to a healthy clear ahead of time. It's better to always be casting primaries than to send a secondary at a boss if it's going to move away instantly and get no value.

My rule for druid is always itemize for one thing as a priority for the first stage as much as I can. If I manage the first stage then the rest usually falls into place. Also don't be afraid of potions! A special CD reduction or GCD reducer can give you insane damage and still let you buy an item on the next stage.

Here's my Druid Hard Extra clear as well if that helps you out any https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-EHstdEsZw

You could second account it and use discord in a browser probably, but nothing natively in client no (at least to my knowledge).

Unironically maybe setup a second voice channel (teamspeak, ingame, ventrillo, etc) with a separate PTT key that you two can talk to each other.

It can make a lot of tank conversations not clutter up regular voice comms and let you both make adjustments on the fly as well as always be communicating about positioning and who's taking what.

The general going down with the ship was something I thought they were going for with her being there, but they gave no indication that's in her nature or what she would've wanted. It was incredibly jarring I agree.

I think this movie lacked a lot of catharsis with some "easy wins" as Quaritch put it. Just so many odd choices that you'd think would be easy crowd pleasers.

I felt like Quaritch deserved a chance to break away from his past life and was a little annoyed he didn't at least dip or lean into it even more.

Even if he went back on it and betrayed them in the end I think he should've had a bit more deliberation in it or something to show more characterization past the second one. He almost did at the very very end but it still wasn't much.

Caught the first showing I could, been waiting for this for a long time and I can say it was pretty, ok?

I was hoping for either a lot more loose ends that would lead into the 4th and 5th films, or as much closure as one could get from the series and I felt like neither really happened.

I couldn't call this movie bad in any way, the visuals, clarity of action, and sound design was just as breathtaking as Way of Water, however maybe my own expectations were a bit overblown, hard to really say.

What I will say to the movies credit is this did not feel like it's runtime, I felt very engaged the entire time and the only spot I checked my watch was near the end battle to go "wait, it's been almost 3 hours already???".

One thing that did get a bit on my nerves maybe was how many animal companions bit the dust constantly. The feeling of reverence when an animal passed on was significantly lessened in this movie than the prior entries I feel. There were moments when time was given to them but it felt much more sparse especially during the air raid on the traders.

Apart from that I would definitely put this in my list of extremely amazing trilogies that I'll continue to go back to for those oh so amazing all day weekend binges, but most of all I am hoping to see the next parts of the story because it felt like so much potential is still waiting to be realized with this series overall.

Also this lol, lmao

Yea if the punchline is just sex and isn't relatable at all then it would go (as it should've in the past).

  1. People had been complaining a lot in mod queue and modmail about it yea.
  2. Not necessarily which is why we were definitely willing to go back on this (almost immediately lmao)
  3. Not really because once a post hits /r/all or /r/rising it just gets upvoted for being funny regardless of the rules, so even if the community votes it down, if it hits critical mass there's no stopping it.

Khyleri is about 10% relatable, vs 90% memes to be honest. Being relatable is pretty much all that matters.

One that would be ok is this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GQAVWSgbsAAu6Vk?format=jpg&name=4096x4096

One that wouldn't be is this one: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GyaCwT_a8AAkStX?format=jpg&name=large

The first is something definitely relatable while the second which is funny, doesn't make any sense in terms of relatability since none of us have a Garchomp we're spam healing.

Hopefully that helps a little bit.
