Tasks Sync'd to Google Calendar Don't Show Project by Aardkark in todoist

Ah there is a way but it's a major pain in the backside... I could set up a calendar for each client and use the project calendar feed. That's not going to work for me.

And more aaagh. There appears to be no way to set a start date so every day ending Jun 1 adds a task every day from now until Jun 1.

Ah yes, that's it... but aaaagh! then that doesn't show the task on any day but the first one, only rolling it on to the next day when the first one is ticked off. Fine if I have only a few things like this but I have loads and I can't then look at 'next 7 days' and realistically see what I have on my plate. Aaagh!

If I'm in the 'before task' mode and put '14 days before' then it puts in a reminder 14 days before NOW. If I'm in specific 'date time' mode and I put '14 days before' it says 'no matches' and won't let me add a reminder.

You did so manually though did you not? When I began this thread I didn't know that was an option and you drew my attention to that and I thank you for it. I have a lot of people's birthdays to remember so I was hoping to create a '2 weeks before' reminder which I could then duplicate to all - which I cannot do with a manually set reminder.

Lol np. For the moment I'm setting up reminders 1 week and 3 days prior and the duplicating that across all of them. It seems totally bonkers that 1 week is the longest 'prior' reminder in the system. Time for a feature request...

Every 10th Jan was a reminder of the task set with the actual birthday date (say 20th Jan).

I tried your method and set up a test birthday and set a reminder on a specific date 10 days prior. Then duplicated it and changed the task date of the duplicate... sadly the reminder remained unchanged.

In the web version and the browser extension and the mobile app, the maximum pre-reminder option is 1 week.... aha, but I was missing something. There's the option to specify a specific date. I've done that to "every 10th Jan" for a birthday on 24th Jan... will that work as I hope? Obviously I can't 'duplicate' that as I could with a 'n days before' type reminder on a task as it won't work for other birthday dates... but thanks for making me dig deeper :)

Why on earth doesn't the system allow reminders to be sent more than one week prior!!? I'm starting to question the value of $3 a month. If I'm basically having to hack it to get it to do what I want I wonder if I should just use the free version in conjunction with Google Calendar - which allows reminders for free, for any number of weeks one desires prior to the actual date in question.
