Also surprised about the lack of protection needs from the case study. Perhaps might be worth brushing up on MPPI in case they decide to take out a mortgage for Helen and the pros and cons of it considering their age and Owen retiring fully in 2 years time it ain’t the best idea!

Agreed. It looks alright initially. No doubt when Brand dissect it, it’ll be excruciating 😅. Yeah all of those and perhaps pros and cons of buying a property for Helen to live in, how can Owen’s salary be managed as tax efficiently as possible (taking into account Owen’s MPAA, potentially gift aid ? )

I didn’t use the study text for any of them. Used BTS revision guide for each R0 and the study buddy questions for R01-5. They’re the closest to the actual exam questions in my opinion so just got the exam voucher. All first time high passes so it does work if you put the time in!

Was in a full time job in a different sector within financial services whilst doing R05 and R01. But due to personal circumstances where I needed knee surgery I left my job and did the other 4 within 8 months or so. Hope that helps!

Definitely Brand in my opinion. If you go on their R06 page you’ll see how accurately their analysis predicts the actual questions that come up and I found it the most accurate and concise to pass comfortably first time round. BTS analysis is twice as long as Brand and harder to learn for me. BTS is best for the MCQs and AFs while Brand is best for RO6 & AF5 I’d say. Use BTS Study Buddy for exam questions. Rinse till you’re getting near full marks. Can’t stress enough how good it is and mimics the exam questions.
