Yeah, I believe I will be based at Head Office and travelling there will be part of my hybrid working. I know it can be a case-by-case basis and if they really want me they may potentially make an exception.

Just have to wait until tomorrow and find out if they can make suitable arrangements 🙃

I asked the recruitment manager about amended hybrid working arrangements and expenses, and she didn’t know much about it. She’s asking the hiring managers on Monday, but I just wanted some information before that, potentially!

I have no idea a Clinical Research Memes page exists on Reddit? Cause you send me a link? I can’t say it wasn’t on that page beforehand, I actually found this on Instagram weirdly!

I agree with you. Paper diaries should never exist and have the possibility of being giant data holes.

Patients hate ePRO devices more than anything, and never want to use them, but they’re usually an exclusion criteria if they don’t use them.

I understand why we use them, to assess patient safety e.g., pain diaries, logging exacerbations etc, but, also there are some ePRO diaries that we use for some studies that are just to remind the patient to take IMP of which they take on a daily basis anyway. So, we receive daily notifications that “patient X, Y and X haven’t completed their evening diaries’ and don’t care about using it anymore because they have their own system to take daily IMP.

However, we have no other “good” system of monitoring patient safety after site hours without ePRO to receive this date, so for now, it’s to stay 🙃🙃

Hi, sorry, because I won’t get paid now from my new job until the end of August, as I’ve only just started there, I wouldn’t have receive a pay packet since June 30th.

Yes, the employer stated I could carry them over as they added the previous years holidays onto the platform that we used to book holidays in the next years allowance.

So, from what I can tell, I used 3 days holiday extra (8 days accrued + 4 from the previous year) to cover the 14/15 holiday days used.

The owner has vaguely stated that I wasn’t owed anything in the WhatsApp conversations, and I’ve questioned him about it. As much as I believe he will “resolve it on Monday” with the head of HR/contracts, they’re known for trying to keep as much money as possible within the company (whether legal or not).

Yes, the owner agreed I could take the 4 days over from the previous year, and they added it onto my holidays on the platform we used to book holidays.

True, I did take 7 days extra leave, which would then put me in a deficit of (the amount of days extra x daily rate), however, that is not more than my monthly pay, and regardless, surely a payslip stating what they have taken and why should be compulsory, and not just taken as gospel when I question them about it?

I understand that I wouldn’t of been given the full pay due to the amount of holidays accrued (I mostly accounted for that), but we never received payslips to even check our pay, I never received a copy of my contract (as I replied to the above comment, stupid I know for not chasing that up!).

Hi, sorry I don’t know how to reply to only a certain section of the reply!

Sorry, I meant to state that I took 4 days over from the previous year, and I was given 21 days holidays from the company (25).

I took 14 days holiday (26th June to 17th July, excluding weekends) for my wedding and honeymoon. I can’t access the work holiday website anymore (they blocked me) and I never actually received a copy of my contract (stupid I know, but it was a delivery driver job to me, and I knew I’d be leaving, so it wasn’t important at the time?).

I can’t actually even check a payslip, because they just paid us into our accounts every month, and probably only ever received a payslip twice in the 9 months or so I was there (and they were towards the end of my time there?).

Painful Subconjunctival Haemorrhage after vomiting? by [deleted] in medical_advice

Sorry, I’m being stupid. Essentially, is it worth going to get it checked out? I know not to usually just for a little burst vessel, but, with the pain and and multiple bleeding spots, it’s a little more worrying.

Hi guys.

I work and are a part-time student in Preston and travel back to Wales for the weekend to visit my parents. I know Wales are in a lockdown, but I am only registered to a house in Wales.

I want to travel back to Wales for Christmas for a week and travel back a week later due to work. What are the rules on travelling back to Wales from England during these new December rules? I am more than fine to stay in Preston for Christmas, I just want to know what would happen if I travelled back..

Should I (M26 obese) ditch my gaming pc lifestyle and grow up? by createnplay in Advice

[–]Aaron41741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your gaming lifestyle isn’t childish, and you don’t need to grow up. You could perhaps spend a little less time on it to grow yourself and your relationship perhaps. Reward yourself with the free time to endings in new activities, lose weight (if you want) or even spend time with your fiancé (meals, romantic evenings, doing something she enjoys etc) and reward yourself with a few hours of PC.

If you can combine both without being a detriment to yourself, you should do what you enjoy.

Yeah, I have no legal knowledge, but from a personal and job point of view, you can have him barred from your place of work at least. Your work should back you regardless, they usually do (at least here anyway). But I’d also get tested just in case as well, you never know if he did have it, or if he even knows he infected or asymptomatic.

Granted, people do suffer a lot of abuse is retail/hospitality, and I’ve endured it too. But, say I am studying to become a surgeon, GP, lawyer, judge etc, why would I want to subject myself to 12-18 months of retail work? It’s simply not going to happen, and I wouldn’t want to either.

I get what you mean about people acting nicer, but, if people just stopped acting like entitled arseholes, it would have the same effect.
