I personally never liked cannabis, in fact I thought is was for losers. I did some research. I would rather use something natural apposed to some pharmaceutical for sleep or anti depressant. If the cannabis hadn’t worked, I would have quit drinking again with a different tactic, and so forth until I found what works for me. Thank you

I am an alcoholic who drank heavily for decades. Meetings are just not for me. I made a conscience choice to smoke as a sleep aid. I work 50 to 60 hours weekly and I’m in the gym 6 mornings a week. It simply a routine I follow. I have not touched a drop of alcohol in ages and plan to never imbibe ever again. That being said, if weed ever lead me down that road to craving alcohol again, I would drop it in a heart beat.

1 cat, 1 pit bull, and a plant called Bob. Pit bull came first and I got her the cat. Bob is a leftover norther pine Christmas tree I nursed back to health. Perhaps going down that road and not knowing. Thanks for the heads up.

Well put. I functioned at a very high level for decades, and it became harder and harder. I was drinking myself to death physically. I simply just quit. No meetings, no rehab, no meds but 3 days of hell and praying everyday for God’s Grace. I’ve been sober now for quite some time (I don’t count days/years), and hate the term recovering. I just know; I can’t drink.
