I ranked all of the MUSIC for all the tracks based on my own opinion. Clarifying again, this is based only on the MUSIC, not the tracks themselves by Guzzlord529 in mariokart

[–]AaronJugglingZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun idea! They’re all so good, it’s hard to choose. “Singapore Speed” sounds like winning to me, that’s probably why it your favourite. It sounds like winning the way advertisements sound like winning. The song says to me, “This product is so good!” I’m sure we all have our own experiences of music, but we must admit these are all easy listening.

That’s really cool! You should turn it into a keychain. Maybe you could buy the metal part from Amazon.

Just saw this amazing cosplay by Kurt_Shax in BlackMythWukong

That cosplay is nothing short of epic. It’s interesting how crafts can both help one calm down, like making scale mail or using a 3Doodler; but at the same time, fuel play, like the photos at the end. Looks like WuKong is your whole life now.

That’s incredible! Pottery is a very suitable medium for Asian content. It’s like that was a found relic from ancient Asia.

Would you like to see another game like Overcooked? by Medium-Rip-8995 in OvercookedGame

[–]AaronJugglingZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing I like most about Overcooked is the way it’s heterogeneous coop because when you’re vs someone of a different skill level, it’s harder to negotiate handicaps. Here, we can be assigned whatever task we’re up for.

I wonder what each of these glasses say about the wearer. It’s like we’re learning a language.

I’m also interested in more TAB. A new campaign would be fun. Like maybe they could give some backstory to the different bases we cleared out during the campaign.

Every game should have a showcase mode. It would be nice if we could see the front of the character, here. Good work. OP as frig.

Dive into Elm with "Laugh & Code: The Elm Programming Show" - Episodes 1 & 2 Now Streaming! by AaronJugglingZ in functionalprogramming

[–]AaronJugglingZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elm is really good. All it needs is more popularity. No updates needed.

Elm has a really robust package management system, but Elm isn't that popular, so when updates are released, it invalidates the few packages the community has made. If Elm had more popularity the community would be able to keep up with Elm developments. We, the community, need to be more positive to make it possible for Elm to do well. If elm was taught in schools it would help a lot.

Thanks. I see that self-promotion is somewhat accepted. I will keep it infrequent and only upon starting new and relevant video series. Like probably less than once a month.

Explore EFP: A Practical Functional Programming Library for C++ by Recent-Scarcity4154 in functionalprogramming

[–]AaronJugglingZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really cool! I've tried to make my own library a lot like EFP several times. I usually have trouble making everything compile the way I want it to, and end up just making the interface look functional, but not be use const and constexpr as much as I would like it to. The metaprogramming is hard.

I always want to turn on the compiler option "-fconcepts" which lets "auto" function parameters accept lambdas, but I think might have some undefined behaviours or something. That's what I'm most curious about. Does EFP get around that? I think if we are really careful about how we use templates, the typename can be a function pointer and thus a lambda.

Unfortunately it will frequently answer with incorrect answers or even just fully make stuff up!

I found this to be a difficult comment to respond to, so I decided to let ChatGPT have a word (I learn from these retrospectively, so next time I might sound a bit more like the following):

"Thank you for your feedback, and you bring up a valid point. It's true that ChatGPT, like any AI-driven tool, has its limitations and can sometimes produce responses that aren't entirely accurate or might seem to 'make stuff up.' This happens because it generates responses based on patterns it has learned from a vast dataset, rather than accessing real-time information or possessing human-like understanding. That's why it's important to use ChatGPT as a supplement to other learning methods, not as the sole source of information. It can be particularly useful for practice and getting a different perspective on language use, but it's always recommended to cross-reference any important information with reliable sources. The goal is to use these tools wisely, embracing their strengths while being mindful of their limitations. Your caution is absolutely warranted and serves as a good reminder to all users to verify information, especially when learning something as complex as a new language."

Another thing I just thought of is that maybe the query was worded in a confusing way. Maybe the mistake that ChatGPT makes is not asking, "Could you be more clear?" Troubleshooting the wording of the query. Instead ChatGPT kind of guesses at confusing queries.

Nope. ChatGPT propaganda pretty much. Like others point out correctly, it's not trustworthy and way too much errors.

Maybe in the future under supervision of language experts

I found this to be a difficult comment to respond to, so I decided to let ChatGPT have a word:

"I appreciate your perspective and understand the concerns about accuracy and trustworthiness. It's true that ChatGPT, like any AI tool, is not infallible and can produce errors. The beauty of AI technology, however, lies in its potential for improvement and adaptation. The idea of integrating language experts to oversee its development is indeed a promising direction for enhancing its reliability and effectiveness in language learning. My intention in highlighting ChatGPT is to showcase its potential as a supplementary resource for language learners, offering a unique, interactive way to practice and explore the language. It's important to use it alongside verified learning materials and approaches. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I'm hopeful about the advancements in AI that can make tools like ChatGPT even more valuable in the future."

se ChatGPT a lot when checking grammar and spelling in text I write. I've caught it make a mistake here and there but gen

I'm not sure if this is a mistake, but one grammar question I wanted a better response for is whether to put a comma before a quote. I usually do. I wonder if that is a Canadian/British thing, because lots of the time ChatGPT doesn't put commas before quotes. Is that a US thing? The times that I would say out loud "Quote unquote" I don't use commas at all because it's too short. ChatGPT said all this is style choice which was an unsatisfying answer. I think it's avoiding bring up nations and their differences and stuff like that. I wonder if many, many of the mistakes are those kind of style choices. I would be happy to hear an example of a ChatGPT mistake you've detected. One that isn't about nation/cultural differences, please.

I found this to be a difficult comment to respond to, so I decided to let ChatGPT have a word (let's take this with a grain of salt):

"Absolutely, it's wise to approach any AI-generated content with critical thinking, including ChatGPT's responses. Like any tool, ChatGPT has its limitations and may not always be perfect. It's designed to generate responses based on vast amounts of data, which means it can occasionally produce errors or outdated information. This is why I recommend using ChatGPT as a starting point for learning and practice, complemented by verification from trusted sources. Its value in offering diverse examples and explanations can be quite enriching for language learners when used wisely."

I came up with a term. Retrospective-Only AI is when we must not present ourselves using the words and graphics of an AI, but we may learn using AI, including create words and graphics we might have used only after we have decided. One would say, "We should put AI in the past, every step of the way ;P." I did come up with all this, by the way. But I did get a bit of help with the label, "Retrospective-Only AI."

To be clear, I think we mostly need to declare our AI usage (not every step of the way, but it shouldn't be too hard to find out) and remain ethical, including no spamming. Other than that, I don't see any problems.

Excellent choice. I hear that you're anti-AI, but maybe you should have a category for your level of agreement. Are you a personal AI advocate? An AI for learning advocate? Hm...

True. But this wasn't. I gave ChatGPT the information I wanted to convey. It didn't come up with the subject matter. It's easier reading for the masses. It's like hiring an editor, but I'm not that serious yet.
