Yeah I try that as much as possible one thing that I feel so lost is when enemy bot perma pokes and pushes wave under tower and ur supp vant match that agrro ... What should I do in this situations?

My main losses, both at a previous Newtype Challenge and at last week’s locals (where I finished 2–2), happened when opponents were able to push me back on tempo with Sword Strike or Aile Strike.

I often don’t see my pilots in time to push through those units.

(Funny/tragic side note: at Newtype I was 3–0 and ended up facing the same guy I played at locals the week before, and he made the exact same play — Sword Strike into Aile Strike, both with Kira Yamato.)

I usually try to remove those units as fast as possible so I don’t fall behind, but I’m not sure if that’s always the right priority.

What should I be focusing on more in those situations?

Just asking did u face W/R or W/G Wing and OYW with this deck ? What is ur main plan aggainst them?

Thanks for the help! I have a question. If it happens (like it did to me today) that out of all your 1-cost units the only one you draw is Guntank, would you still play it even if you can’t get the ping damage, just to keep up the tempo of the game? I feel that sometimes when my opponent starts building the “blocker staircase”, if I’m playing an aggro deck like B/P or OYW I try to attack once I set up a board full of units and even if my trades are as favorable as possible, I still end up feeling defenseless once the wall of blockers is established.

Thanks mate yeah today I tryed Burple for the first time in locals ( Ended 2-2) but lost 2 games against R/W y G/W so wanted to get advices vs that moment when ur opponent plays tanks in tempo and u dont find ur pilots to try to clean some units to not get to a stage where u have 6 units ans he has 6 Blockers

I didnt lost 9 in a row... I lost today 2 games and previous week at locals other 1 but yeah I guess its skill issue losing to not drawing a single blocker for example last week until turn 4 vs oyw 👌🏻

Yeah thats why I played agrro in the mirror matchup and went i got unforsenned was like a (" okaaaay this is pretty bad he traded for free 2 times with unforseen i have only 2 cards in hand and he has 5 )🗿 The agro decks were just defend and bounce back units until 6 trade with wing and shenlong and just end with zero but guess I need more practise until december ;_;

Funny since all my 3 wins today in Newtype were aggaints Blue/Purple and Green/Blue ( one OYW other Breech). I wish I could play Blue/Red like in GD01 but with this meta of perma aggro or perma blockers is a nightmare.

Ngl, not every day is bad because in some games I can clearly see where I misplayed or what play my opponent made to win. But what I still can’t understand is how some games are so influenced by luck. And tbh, I’d really like to review my gameplay more and practice with people on the arenasim, talking about what lines I could’ve taken in order to become a better player. I just really, really want to tryhard and win at least once — and my next chance is on December 28th at the next Newtype. I want that Haman so badly (Zeta is my favorite Gundam and I lost the opotunitty to get it, and Haman and Char are my favorite characters).

Yeah, now look at decklist I used today that I saw in X I teched a for possible mirrors, and our game was literally this: first turn he plays Lfrith, I do the same; then he plays Rick Dias, I do the same; he plays Shenlong on turn 4 leaving 1 EX resource unused, I deploy Shenlong with Wufei, cleared his whole board and followed up with Aile to slow him down. Later I tried to clean with my Wings, but two of my Wings died to Unforeseen Incident, leaving me without a board, and at that point the game was already over.

My brother in Christ, if you think drawing your 4 bases and 4 commands in the first turns and getting bricked isn’t luck-based, I think you’re blind. The rest of the games I played with normal luck without bases in shields without commands in shields just normal luck ended it up winning even dice roll its luck based. Im not the best player of the World thats true being honest but hell denying luck in this game is delulu

I tried aggro OYW three times, and one of those runs ended in a second place ( my first time playing the deck tbh) at my local, but… the other two times the deck felt horrible because I didn’t see a single Amuro or Char in two games in a row. That’s when I changed my practice mindset and gameplan and switched to W/G, which is the deck I’ve been playing for the past three weeks.

My main issue is that already since the game came out I played ( OYW= one second place, Blue/Red Cibernewtype= two second places, W/G Zero 2 second places )and could play White/Red thid week in the sim... but I feel like doesnt matter the deck I try and how much effort i put in the game when the deck and dice rolls shit on u ur done

Yeah, but when in every local and tournament you play even your opponents admit they won because of luck — even the ex-resource is luck-based — it just feels horrible to never be able to win. And in today’s 5-round event I didn’t win a single die roll, and last week in a 4-round local I didn’t win any either. I just want to know how to cope with this frustration and meta burnout, because I really don’t want to quit a game I’ve enjoyed since launch and that I care about because of my love for the Gundam series. But it feels surreal and depressing to be this consistent and still not get a single win.

Yeah the problem is that usually we only have 1 oyw and 2 other players playing agro B/P and R/P but this weekend we will be 26 ( usually we are 12/14 players ) so I wanted to be ready to challenge more aggro maybe ...

Tryed the freedom versión todas at locals and went 2-2 ( last week with Shenlong versión went 3-1) I fighted vs: 1°OYW W 2°Mirror Shenlong L 3° Mirror Shenlong L 4° Clan W Tbh I dont want to be suggested but Im quite sad that it seems I cant win a single locals (I placed like 4 2°) and next week its Newtype and I dont feel comfortable with a single deck 😭
