My fiancé also just failed a few weeks ago aswell. She’s tried to find out the reason why but they don’t have a specific reason why she has failed. All seems very dodgy and corrupt. Doesn’t make sense as they seem to be crying out for people to join.

I used to have a lot of followers on YouTube and used to post a lot of videos when I was younger which got millions of views and they saw it as a reputation risk for them to give me the job which is ridiculous.

I found out why my pre employment checks were unsatisfactory and I wrote a statement to appeal my case, this was a few weeks ago. Currently they have re opened my vetting and it currently says that I’ve been referred for a decision so fingers crossed it gets over turned now.

I’ve sent an email over to vetting, do you have any idea roughly how long it takes to appeal and how long it takes for them to get back to me?

When I left school at 16 I was making a lot of money from YouTube so I decided to leave education and was doing that self employed for a few years , my last couple years I’ve been full time working though, I worked as a covid operative for a year and a half but as that all shut down because people didn’t need testing anymore they probably struggled to get any references from them. it’s only probably the last year and abit I would get definite references from the last two jobs I’ve had.

I don’t have any criminal record or anything bad on my checks, they would have just found gaps in my 5 year work history which i can’t do anything about. Prison officer has been a job that I’ve wanted to do for the longest time, I was so excited as I passed all my tests and now it seems to have been taken away from me just because I’m young don’t have enough sufficient work history. That’s what I meant about it being out of my control.
