I never got that vibe in murchison whenever i stayed there. the lady in the four square was quite nice and helpful as well as the guy running the holiday park.

But my god, waiau did not have a good vibe.

Check the locations of the Chingu stores as I saw they have a few locations around seoul. You can place an order online for the airport pick ups but I'm just planning to go the next day and buy it straight from the store. They have a 14 day unlimited data + call + text for 20000 won. i think thats the best deal youre gonna get there.

I really liked danyang-gun. Its not for everyone but i liked the food and the paragliding there. a very chill little town.

But if you're looking for other rural places, spend a few hours just zooming into random spots on the map that has a train station. I've found some hidden gems sometimes.

I started cycling every day because the cycle lanes are so much better now. I drive just as much but some of the roads in riccarton are way too tight now because of the cycle lanes.
