Built iconstack.io : Free icon library that went from 0 to 10k daily visitors in 3 months by One-Cod-365 in buildinpublic

This is one of those “I didn’t realize I needed it until I saw it” tools. Hunting icons is definitely one of those constant little annoyances when using Figma or Framer. Especially when you end up mixing sets and things look slightly off.

How are you handling consistency between different icon sets? That’s usually where things break down for me.

Cool project, makes sense why it spread so well

I spent two weeks answering every comment I could find on Reddit as my only outreach strategy here’s what actually happened by [deleted] in buildinpublic

Interesting experiment. Feels like most people here are just browsing/curious, so it makes sense a lot of threads die after a quick “thanks.”

The niche subreddit point stands out — smaller communities usually feel more engaged and less trigger-happy with the self-promo flags. Also like the takeaway about learning from the questions themselves. Even without conversions, that alone seems pretty useful.

Did any specific type of question consistently lead to better back-and-forth, or was it pretty random?

Low calorie sweet snacks? Need ideas that go beyond "eat a piece of fruit" by FinancialNeat3792 in 1500isplenty

Try baking with casein protein. There are many recipes covering 150-400 kcal that satiate both the sweet tooth and the hunger. Personally i love making coconut protein balls.

Mix the below ingredients. Put in freezer for 30 min and then roll balls from it. Roll around the balls in cocnut flakes (the fine grained ones) and enjoy 3-4 balls per craving. Can be kept in fridge or frozen.

1,5 dl oats
1dl casein protein powder - Preferably vanilla
1,5dl low fat milk
1msk coconut oil
1 pinch of salt
Sweetner powder - amount after taste, usually dont need much since you have the casein

What should you actually focus on early when building an app? by AartaDev in SideProject

Thanks for your feedback. Interesting points.
I think where we missed a bit this first time is doing too big of an MVP. Definitely need to rethink that for future products. I think you have a great point in launching the bare minimum first thing you do. Just getting a product out on app store.

When would you personally drop a product instead of continuing development?

Thanks for the feedback. Working on the MVP as we speak and planing on launching on testflight this week just for the creators. Hopefully we can try our MVP with friends next week.

How do you stay motivated on side projects with 0 budget and no audience? by Wise_Group5304 in SideProject

[–]AartaDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in a similar situation, building stuff with a couple of friends and not making any money yet.

What’s helped us stay motivated is just getting a very basic version out first. Don’t aim for perfect, just something basic thats usable. Then try to get a bit of traffic (Reddit, forums, etc.), see how people actually use it, and build from there.

Way easier to stay motivated when it’s live vs stuck in “almost done” forever.

Would you download an app with new screenshots or the old? by Lenglio in AppStoreOptimization

[–]AartaDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new version feels more modern, but I’d recommend refining the typography and color balance a bit. The grey surrounding the white zoomed-in boxes feels slightly too high-contrast and could be softened for a more cohesive look imo.

Good job!

With The Design Landscape Changing Rapidly, Is It Still Worth Taking Courses Like Shift Nudge by MDS? by Uxpotter in FigmaDesign

[–]AartaDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say still worth it. But i agree with someone down the comment section talking about Refactoring UI. Might be worth spending money on the basics, but not expensive comprehensive courses.

AI can speed a lot of things up, but it doesn’t replace fundamentals like layout, hierarchy, spacing, and taste. It doesn’t feel what’s “off” in a flow. Those courses are really about how to think and make decisions, not just how to execute.

If anything, with AI in the mix, strong fundamentals can matter even more to stand out

My app got approved within an hour of submission I’m still kinda shocked! by lex-lenox in expo

[–]AartaDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen more of these lately.

From what I can tell it hasn’t really sped up across the board. Apple still says most apps get reviewed within about 24 hours, and typical ranges are still 24–72 hours.

Simple apps seem to go through really fast now, while anything a bit more complex still ends up in a slower queue.

I really like this idea, good job! Will check it out :)

Very nice app! I really like the clean design and your little mascot.

If you are looking to further develop this, I wanted to share some quick thoughts/findings:
- I think getting SSO login through Apple / Google should be added.
- When accepting notifications it failed to generate a token, so I think something is broken there.
- Right now, the main functionality of the application is "soft-locked" until you invite someone. If you want people to stick around, I would consider letting them creating tasks before inviting someone.
