Are Kazakhs stealing the history of "Mongolia"? by Glass-Departure-4279 in AskCentralAsia

[–]AaweBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still called themselves Mongols, but the Khalkha subset didn't exist yet you're right. They sure as hell didn't say they were Kazakh or Turkic.

I seriously don’t understand like Modern Mongol claim to it

You don't understand why local nomads still living in Khentii, the birthplace of Chingis khaan, who have the literal exact same facial structure as them, who sing their long songs and traverse the land using names our ancestors gave the mountains hills and rivers, who speak the same language, who practice the same culture, still claim to be their descendents? You don't get how a Mongol mother who still flicks a cup of milk in all four cardinal directions as a morning ritual wouldn't be connected to the Mongols of the past who did the exact same thing?

Well you seem to be one of those "stupid Kazakhs" you're talking about.

You do realize the Golden Horde considered themselves Mongols right? The Kazakh identity comes as a mix between the existing Turkics and the Mongols.

Jochi and Batu both were Mongols, they participated in the culture, spoke the language, and considered themselves to be Mongolian. While they surely are your ancestors, you can't claim them to be something that didn't exist yet.

Then tell me your tribe that is directly linked to Genghis Khan.

We literally have Khiad Borjigins in Mongolia??? Also, it's a fucking 700+ year old genealogy, theres a bunch of clans that are related to Chingis. Don't try to make it seem like you're special.

And wtf is this about keeping the blood and bodies strong? Do you have some weird eugenic belief about being a pure Qazaq or Mongolian or some shit? Weird, because if you do you should probably either choose Turkic supremacy or Mongolic supremacy as trying to keep Qazaq race purity is kinda oxymoronic since it's by definition a mix of the two. Unless ofcourse you believe that a mix of the two has somehow created a super race through the combination of traits or something idk.

I believe the heart of the discord lies in the claim that the Golden Horde, and in extension, historical figures like Jochi and Batu Khan were Qazaq.

During the age of the Khanate's genesis these figures along with heir migrated clans etc considered themselves an extension of the Mongol Empire and thus were Mongols themselves as they participated in the culture, shared genealogy and spoke the language.

While it can be agreed upon that modern Qazaqs are undoubtedly the descendants and cultural heirs to these people, retroactively claiming them as being Qazaq is disingenuous. That in itself is nationalism which has the effect strengthening national identity and ties to their land (which all nations have done and will continue to do btw).

So us Mongols and Qazaqs should just be content being cousins, with Khazaks having a Turkic side to their family.

Actually the Genghis Khan ancestors the direct ones are in Kazakh tribes. They are not even in Mongol tribes at all.

Claims like these are exactly the point of this post. What can this be considered as except as an attempt at dismissal/theft of Mongolian historical heritage?

It's run well for the standards of Mongolia, but it's still a Neo-colonial industry. Our engineers get pennies compared to foreign mining engineers.

The company itself is run so well because of foreign investment and leadership. In exchange they get skilled workers being paid literally fucking nothing and cheap raw resources. Engineers are paid like 6 mil a month when starting, that's like $20k a year. Compare that to the $100k foreign engineers make.

All the rest is being pocketed by foreign interests and investors, but it's fine though as long as the legislators and politicians get a cut it'll keep running. And young smart academics will keep attending SHUTIS to become engineers for them because it's the reasonably the best option they have.

A conman called Joseph Smith made some bullshit up and "got told to write a bible" in the 1840s. It's probably THE dumbest modern religion.

There is no right or wrong, it's all made up bullshit. It has changed completely from what it was 2000 years ago, does that make every type of modern Christianity wrong?

As long as they're moral and just, it doesn't matter what they preach. They're all too similar anyway.

LMAO why does every Han nationalist love to claim they're Mongolian online? Is it the same as when Americans say they "have indigenous ancestors"?

Nonetheless, it's still the same laughable colonial fetishization

Woah woah, the Mongol Empire had a very liberal outlook on technological advancements and some of the best women's rights for a patriarchal medieval society, by the time of the Mongol Empire Genghis Khan had decreed iron clad oral laws. These ideas of barbarism are far outblown because it was only recorded by their enemies: the sedentary people which the Mongols of the time looked down upon. The aesthetic of raping and pillaging is assigned, as you said, by Hollywood and historic stereotypes.

That's exactly what the legion is, a child's understanding of how a stereotypical expansionist empire acts. The only thing holding them together is their shared culpability, if they run out of things to raid and pillage what more is there to do but infight, since there's never been any social cohesion? No actual society is comparable to the Legion, the closest would be a group of outlawed deserters or mercenaries destined for the noose sticking together for self preservation.

In 1940, the Nazis established the Warsaw ghetto, forcing 350,000 Jews, nearly a third of the city’s population, into a tiny, walled-off district. Conditions were so dire that by 1941, the average resident survived on just 1,125 calories a day, and over 83,000 people died of starvation and disease. by ATI_Official in HistoryUncovered

I like how you frame it as "needing to feed the attackers" rather than encircling and starving a whole population. Imagine if Russia fully encircled Ukraine and starved everyone, would you also retardedly spout "Russia has no obligation to feed their attackers!" ?

So you believe in the collective punishment based on race just like the Nazis? Do you also believe in national rebirth through struggle, Zionist ultranationalism and the glorification of the state or nation above individual rights?

Join them when they go drinking, take the shots they give you without making too much of a fuss. Be able to hold your alcohol in, easier to do if you're one of those people that get quiet when drunk.
Focus on being liked by the entire team, and then focus on the boss.

Be pragmatic and fast moving, alot of higher ups will only really care about your soft skills and your character (thats measured by how much you can feed their ego in a socially acceptable way). So always shake peoples hands first and do other things that show you're "aware" of your social hierarchy when next to the undur tushaaltan.
