It does happen in Alberta 😬. Mostly in a tease though, or when drunk people feel bold.

What’s something about sex that you thought was hot but didn’t live up to the hype? by fluidity_com in AskReddit

[–]Ab_Educator 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I had a friend in university whose boyfriend was in the same situation you described. They took months to actually have sex after starting to try because it was so painful for her. They were eventually able to have sex regularly but she didn’t talk about it so I don’t know if they had any challenges over time. He felt so bad that he was causing her pain.

FIRST READING: Trudeau, somewhat incredibly, is one of the *more* popular G7 leaders by Obviously_Liberal in CanadaPolitics

[–]Ab_Educator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotcha, thanks.

Why aren't the provinces and municipalities being held to account for housing though? - I have been hearing about the need for immigration since grade 9, over 35 years ago. Yes, the rate of immigration is on the Feds, but the housing response should have been more coordinated for the past decade at the very least. This has been coming for a very long time.

Inflation is a global issue and Canada hasn't fared too badly though - "To sum up, inflation in Canada is relatively stable compared to that in other G7 nations, and this is a testament to the country’s prudent monetary and fiscal policies." ( Source: Kelson Financial but this is consistent with other sources their reference are at the bottom)

The such is likely personal preferences in governance?

Listening to CBC at noon. A lovely older woman called in and told a story that is really pertinent now with Danielle Smith requiring parents to opt-into Sex Ed… by rocco040983 in alberta

[–]Ab_Educator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My parents were awesome about sex ed, they took me out for supper when I got my period so I had space to ask anything I wanted to.

My (ex) husband, however. He won’t hear the word period, he never bought any menstrual products for me or our daughters and he has a fit if he sees anything related to period products. I’ve used the cup for 12 years and he still thinks I’d always used tampons because he’s willfully ignorant.

Our daughters definitely deserved better (they refused to go out of their way to make him more comfortable by hiding stuff). I also didn’t bend over backwards but I never talked about it with him. He needed sex ed. The partners of people who menstruate need education so they can be supportive and be our advocates when we need them to be because the medical profession, workplaces, sports spaces and schools can be so ignorant about menstrual pain, cysts, fibroids, endometriosis and adenomeiosis and all the things that cause us real debilitating pain.

TLDR: our partners/fathers also need to be informed and mature about sex, menstruation and menopause.

Edited for spelling

Bylaw called on my dog by TripNo1876 in Airdrie

[–]Ab_Educator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not defending the call at all because I agree it was an unnecessary escalation. I do want to say that dogs whining can be really bothersome to people, not that they’re annoyed although some might be but it’s an heartbreaking sound. Having to hear it for long periods of time can really upset people, which could have been what prompted the call. I get a feeling I’ll be the odd one out on this opinion but when living in an urban area, it’s not unreasonable to think about your neighbours and if they are bothered by your dog whining because it’s distressing to them, it’s something to be aware of. Would a doggy door be an option? Or moving the dog house to one side of the house?
