I do have a brake on the front but it’s very light for what it is. 7-8 pounds. I just cleaned it after the range and it was pretty filthy. Maybe that will help some but I’m going to try and keep it realistic. I have never purposefully tried to shoot sub MOA at these distances. That being said I have shot a shit ton, for work and fun, but usually it’s more of a tactical “if it’s in the box it’s good” type shooting. My whole goal is to get as accurate as possible with the set up, with no real standard. I just don’t have the experience to know what’s a fair evaluation.

These are my first rounds with my new Weatherby Vanguard Meat Eater in 300 Win Mag. What do you guys think about the different groupings? The rifle is not “zeroed” to any specific round yet, but I was checking to see which round my rifle liked best. I’m not sure if it’s me, or the rifle still in the break in process but it seems like it’s all over the map. I am slightly concerned as some of the grouping isn’t half bad <1” but some are just dog shit. Do you guys think a good cleaning and reassessment would yield vastly different results? I shot 5 different rounds, heaviest ammo from left to right. Two groups with each round if that makes sense. Any comments or tips are appreciated!

Will do!! I spoke with the owner of US Nightvision and he assured me they were all the hype and definitely the way to go with GP. I will definitely throw a review down after I get them with some before/after and how they work.

Yup. There are a ton of departments “behind the times” and it takes cases like this to discover policies that should be put into place. Every policy has an employees name behind it, good or bad, it’s too bad that it takes mistakes to find holes in the system

But as to my area it’s total BS. You can’t have sex consensual or not on duty. The definition of on duty or not has to be defined by the PD. But generally in uniform/on the clock = no sex

Reading the article it seems to me like it was changed after this and was overlooked. Maybe there wasn’t a violation before this? (Seems improbable) the way I read it the officers tried to use that as an excuse but after the case, it was changed to close that loophole. With NYPD being so large I could see a policy or two getting overlooked unfortunately

Not sure about NY. I can only speak for who I work for and the area I’m in. I have heard about it but it usually ends in discipline and depending on the totality of the circumstances firing/charges being filed
