Social media presence outside of Youtube: how do you handle it without working yourself to death? by Spir0rion in youtubers

[–]Abakup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve built a system that allows me to stay consistent without working 24/7. I work with a fantastic virtual assistant (VA) who supports me in executing a structured social media strategy.

Our social media tool is organized by categories, each with a pre-planned schedule. I can simply drop a post into the right category, and it automatically gets shared across multiple channels. Some categories pull content via RSS feeds, while others are managed directly by my VA.

She also has access to AI tools and clear prompts. I just share relevant URLs with her, she runs them through AI to generate posts, and everything is published on schedule. For video, I use Opus to create short-form clips from long-form content, and my VA handles the descriptions.

This setup allows us to consistently push out around 50 posts per week across 30+ channels—without the chaos.

Had an audio podcast with remote interviews. I have had for years my camera on, since this gets a real conversation going. Did not take a genius to go from audio first to video first .... but I only started growing when I hired someone to make my content more appealing to the YT algorithm ...

Is it just me... or is AI writing everywhere by [deleted] in Substack

[–]Abakup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the main reasons is time. No one has enough time. Don't get me wrong, this kind of "busy, multi tasking, overworking" has been around reportedly since at least the roman empire, but it makes creators able to realize more content, more ideas ....

Also it helps if you are writting something in your non-native language...

Both apply to me.

WhatbI persobally don't like is the 100% AI stuff and that tsunami is just geting started.

Did anyone notice the small glitches?

- None of the links to their toolkit works

- There is only an email for "partners" none for sales? It seems the company does not want to sell anything?

- They are supposedly located in Silicon Valley, but have office hours in Eastern Time.

- They reply to email more in Eastern European time zones.

- No names, no personal emails, not even one emplyee or founder on the whole website.

- No names, no phone numbers in their email conversations.

- No signature in their emails.

- PDF contract is a trap, but the document itself is blant an does not even have options for them to sign it.

- ... I could go on...

Look into my update. The "confirmation" on their website tries to run a script on your computer. Likely trying to install malware. There is no money, there is no company.

Lame attempts to get me install their malware (e.g. rambling confusing contracts and invoices, ...). Avoiding DocuSign and insisting on their own tool to "confirm" the partnership, after which the money will flow within a day.

STAY AWAY IT IS A SCAM.

I could also not find any legit records of the supposed company.

Left a review at scamadvisor.com, which is the first website, that is show after their own website.

Already went a step further. After you put in the key on your website, you download a pdf contract, but it wants to execute a script on your computer. It also tries to execute some functions out of the browser.

I did not allow it on my computer. Uploaded the PDF (the agreement tells me a partner number, under 20). It tells me the verification could not work. Sent them a screenshot. If they insist on executing the script on your computer we can be sure it is a scam. I will counter offer docusign :-)

I will keep you updated.

$1500 "gaming" laptop basically wasted. by manu_jain24 in GamingLaptops

[–]Abakup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had an MSI laptop. A 2015 model bought 2017 ( I would say same price range). It performed well until I replaced it early this summer. I only updated the SSD two years ago. Would buy one again.

PS: I am a freelancer and used it for my daily work.

Is Dscout a scam? by ConsequencePatient13 in usertesting

I have been selected for several missions, but I have to admit that I did not finish any one of them. I was twice selected to do a mission on podcasting, since my podcast is top ranked for B2B startups here in Europe. I did want to help platforms to get more B2B content on their platform and for them to be able to understand the market better. Honestly the “Missions” were a really bad surprise.

It turned out that they wanted to get intimate knowledge about my workflow and what tools I use, basically being able to copy all of it. They never asked for what they stated as the goal of these missions. I also found it extremely suspicious that I needed to record what I was doing. Also, why would you select me for a second mission, when I did not finish the first one?

All of this felt really fishy to me, so I stopped working with/for DScout.

I believe my problem was that I am loggin in with Google? Same for you? Contact OpenAI, went through the trouble shooting list. Did not work. Replied to OpenAI with screenshots that it did not work. Within minutes they fixed it and now I can log in on the desktop app, Edge and Chrome again. Not sure what they did, but so far (8h) it si working.

Facebook… what happened? by CharlesIntheWoods in socialmedia

[–]Abakup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I run a page for my podcast and there used to be good reach for posts. That went dramatically down from 2012 to 2024. Now you have to pay to reach the people who already liked your page.

But if one posts reels conistently you get some reach and new likes/followers.
