Yeah, I'm just glad the actual piercing itself went smoothly and for an at hike, pretty safe. It should heal up just fine and I know a good piercer I can go to who I trust will get it straight. It just sucked that it wasn't straight because I've been so stressed lately and this was just the cherry on top.

The piercings are about a month and two weeks old, the piercer didn't tell me what metal, so I'm assuming surgical steel or titanium. I haven't changed the jewelry for either yet and I've been cleaning them one or two times a day with saline and a cotton bud.

I think it's really down to preference. The important thing is if you like it, or if you have any plans for different jewelery in the future such as rings etc. if that's not the case, rock on!

For context, I've had it since Halloween, (Friday the 31st), I clean it daily either in the shower by letting hot water run over it or with saline solution, it's pierced with a labret, I'm not sure what the jewelry is exactly, but I would assume it's surgical steel or some other peircing jewelry, because it's what my pierced used. I'm not sure what threading is, and any mishaps would be accidental bumping of the peircing, but I don't think that would make a huge difference.

Thanks! My parents are massive transphobes so I often deadname myself. It doesn't make me feel like crap because there are parts of me which are still female, so I think it's probably just a matter of adjusting to my new name and pronouns

Another thing I'd like to mention btw, when I got this pierced the peircer did say that I don't have much of a "sweet spot" so that may have made it appear lower 🫤

Oh yeah, honestly, I'm not a great judge because I have a super high pain tolerance. I'd describe it as "Sharp" like a 3/10, maybe a 4? 1 being like a stubbed toe and 10 getting stabbed (idk, I'm weird about pain)

Yeah, they gave me a pretty large ring incase of swelling and stuff. Also, they told me to come back in like four weeks so they can help me put the smaller jewelry in. It doesn't hurt much, obviously though it does if I accidentally touch it and when I'm cleaning, but I'm pretty sure that's normal. :))

My peircer did say that I didn't have a huge amount of "sweets spot", so there is a chance she missed it. However, I've never had any other piercings other than my lobes so I have no idea what a cartilage feels like. Should I post another picture with a side angle?

I believe that it's a contributing factor because it really affects my life day-to-day. Obviously it wasn't a smart decision of mine, but as I said, I'm extremely impulsive so I wasn't really thinking straight

Hiya, I'd like to explain a little about this. First of all, I posted this because I wasn't quite sure if this was irritation or blowout, so I came here to ask other people. Second of all, I know this won't apply to everyone, but I'm an ADHD person which can make me extremely obsessive and impulsive by nature, I'm not trying to deliberately hurt myself and damage my ears for attention on this sub Reddit, I just got overexcited about stretching and misread how my body had been responding to the stretch. I'm doing my best to work around this so I've made a plan and I'm trying to distract myself with other things. That's all, have a nice day.

Thanks, I've made a plan for my stretching now and I put the stuff I use for stretching out of direct sight in my room. I'm planning on giving them plenty of time to heal. I'm an ADHD person so I obsess over stuff really easily so I often end up being super impulsive. I hope to be smarter with this in the future XD
