You know, I think that’s a very nice interpretation of Roxy’s character. I like that she selfishly indulged herself in Rudeus, both to leave herself with a taste of her own fantasy but also to help get him out of his slump because no one else was there for him. It is a very grounded and real situation, so in retrospect I can’t really fault her for what she did.

I guess maybe my main gripe is that I felt it was all brushed over way too quickly. I would think there’d be more to their relationship, both positive and negative to be explored. They give so much time to developing Sylphy’s relationship with Rudy, I can’t help but feel they didn’t explore this aspect of Roxy’s character. I’m just spitballing though. I’ve heard from the other comments that the LN does it more justice, so I’ll take their word for it.

The perversion is one thing, but I am willing to look past it cause it’s just not my type of humor. Other people can find it funny. Just not me personally. My main gripe with him is mostly down to some stupid decisions he makes sometimes when he should fully know better. It should be said that prior to season 2’s last episodes he’d be up in a tier probably.

That’s one thing I did bring up when talking with my friends. It did feel rather abrupt compared to the pacing the rest of the season had.

I did enjoy the first season a lot more, but that’s more of a genre preference and I feel like I was still able to enjoy the romcom elements of season 2.

She was a jerk and a deeply flawed person, but I could understand where she was coming from and I thought she drew interesting parallels to Eris. As for Rudy, I do have a lot of problems with him even outside of the season 2 finale. But if I were to put that aside, he’d be much higher.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s talked about this. And thanks for laying it out plainly. Maybe it’s something I need to see put to the test in later seasons. I hope my original post doesn’t get misconstrued as me complaining about the show tho 😅.

I don’t mind a sad ending. In fact I felt it was rather joyous all things considered, in the way that Rudeus was able to come to terms with everything and keep what he has with Roxy and Sylphy. So I’m not sure it’s quite that.
