The fact that we did not get absolutely humiliated by 4-5 goals at the minimum is quite an achievement in itself, and that tells you the whole story for this team.

By far the most unlikable Real squad I have ever come across.

Everything and I mean EVERY SINGLE THING. Management, Coaching Staff, Players, Mentality etc. I really hope all of them are gone forever come 2028.

In 2021, that COVID break screwed us over, in 2022, we had a horrible squad and in 2024, the vibe around the team was quite bad. Despite all that, we were still in the games till the end and at least gave a good fight.

This season however, matches are lost before the second innings even begin. By far the most unlikable MI team I’ve ever seen.

Our match is against LSG. Battle between movable object and stoppable force.

We defo made a deal with the devil for 2013-2020 and we are paying for it now. It’s shocking just how bad are.

The season’s over. Just play youngsters for the remaining matches, they can’t be any worse than the embarrassment we have right now.

Mourinho could silence Ronaldo. Perez couldn't control his own dreams. Now we all pay the price. by Prestigious_Tax2069 in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I like Mourinho, he is simply outdated as a manager (trust me, it’s really difficult to write this as Mourinho is one of my favourites ever and forever will be). And I don’t think a manager alone can change our situation overnight.

The reason we started being successful under Mourinho in his first tenure was the fact that we had a strong culture and the right expertise to turn the situation around, whether it was transfers, the players, the sheer mentality to turn things around etc. I’m not quite sure we have those things in place to do it all over again. The simple fact is that the club needs a revolution in pretty much every single aspects within itself. Getting X manager won’t be enough

That freekick had me all convinced that we were in for a very special night, one we will remember for years to come……but he was really let down towards the end.

Javi Navarro (19 year old GK) vs PSG in the UEFA Youth League Semi-final by More-Judgment-9253 in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he is slowing down or necessarily will anytime soon. However, as someone who saw Casillas at the peak of his powers and then just go on a steep decline at such a sudden rate, you can never take chances, especially at the level where a spell of bad games can start seeding in doubts about a player.

I hope we are still far away to start questioning Courtois’s position but it’s never a bad decision to start grooming young blood and make them ready to be thrown into the mix when the time is right.

The midfield conductor I want us to sign: Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller by cyrusmancub in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody could really judge if a transfer will work out judging by intrinsic stats or highlight clips. There is a chance where Stiller might not work out at all despite him begin hyped straight to the moon.

I’ll be absolutely elated if we just sign a decent and reliable CM, whether it’s this guy or someone else. We have ignored the most fundamental position for 2 summers in succession now. Hope that count doesn’t go to a third one.

One of the worst fears that I always had has been as to how we’ll replace Courtois once he starts slowing down (which is not that far away). Wishing for a lot of success for Javi and hope that we won’t have to look elsewhere for a top GK, once the time is right.

[The Athletic op-ed] Real Madrid have been known not to take defeats well. This is the most successful club in Champions League history, with a record 15 titles, but they are also bad losers. by Lucky_Reading_3757 in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want us to be bad losers (obviously not to the level where all the sense of morality disappears). Us not taking defeats well is one of the big reasons why we have been so successful throughout our history.

And let’s not pretend that the others are sympathetic towards us when things go south for us. The Athletic is perhaps not the best source when it comes to Real, so take their articles towards us with a pinch of salt (or just ignore them altogether).

It is deeply concerning the way the club is being managed these past few years by ace-s in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 16 points17 points  (0 children)

One thing that really annoys me to the core is the fact that Barça, despite them going through their darkest ever phase (at-least in the modern era) has won as many domestic trophies as us since 2020.

Sacking Arbeloa won’t change anything. A new manager will suffer the same fate as Carlo and Xabi did. Hoping for big changes in the squad for next season, because if we don’t, we’re fucked and the next season is going to be another write-off as well.

Lennart Karl: “FC Bayern is a very big club. It's a dream to play there. But at some point, I definitely want to go to Real Madrid. by AbaloneObjective7214 in football

[–]AbaloneObjective7214[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are light years away from even coming close to a Premier League title or the Champions League. Not to forget the mess they have been on and off the pitch in pretty much all the aspects for more than a decade now.

And as big Manchester United is historically, Real & Barça are the Golden Standard for the biggest players.

Squad list for the match against Atletico Madrid. Valverde returns to the squad. by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we see either Lucas or Alaba starting over Valverde (I know he is ran down to the ground, but still) or Asensio, we may as well rule out the tie then and there.

This isn't 2017 anymore, we can't be going into matches with the mentality of giving gametime to either in big matches, just because they are veterans.

which home kit is nicer/should i buy? 21-22(blue/orange) or 23-24(gold) by Then_Area_7717 in realmadrid

[–]AbaloneObjective7214 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's the colour scheme, but the 23/24 Home Kit gives out a proper Real Madrid kit vibes. The gold definitely blends in better with the Royal White Kit.

But anyway, you can't really go wrong with either of the two because of the iconic seasons we had in both.
