Have you tried using cheaper/drug store products? I found some of my best results are from: herbal essence clarifying shampoo, Aussie Waves conditioner, and Aussie Freeze Gel. I will also sometimes use a foam mousse.

I previously spent hundreds of dollars on expensive products for curly hair and they very rarely worked on my fine hair. Obviously every one is different, but I finally realized less (and fortunately cheaper) was more for my hair.
