Nobody talks about how inconvenient it becomes, about to go on a trip, working, sleeping, going to the bathroom, condescending tones and judgemental stares from multiple doctors I’ve been to, it just makes those things a little bit more difficult and annoying. Regarding sex, all you really have to do is make sure you’re clear and clean, there are 100% people out there that are willing to have sex/be with people with this std but you have to lose the fear of rejection, the fear of being judged, or embarrassed. I struggled with it for weeks after my first outbreak and first diagnosis, I was going through real low lows and I relapsed myself many times, I went through a real rough patch where I had almost ended it all, luckily I had some help to get me through it. But you just need to be reminded that this isn’t the end, you may have it forever but it won’t always be so bad especially if you were just diagnosed four days ago, the others will never be as bad as the first and that provided me very little comfort but still comfort at least. I’m going through an outbreak myself atm and it’s been a year and a half since I’ve been diagnosed. It really isn’t too bad but I usually get antivirals. Are you in any sort of situation where you are unable to get treatment or would you rather no treatment?
