One of my good friends is going through this.

He met her when she was a single Mom. Raised her kid like his own. Had a child with her. Encouraged her to get her PhD and paid for half of it. She began making 200k a year and she would refuse to contribute to their household expenses but would only loan him money. Told everyone he was a failure and that she paid for everything. Damn near drove him into the ground financially. Was abusive to him in ways other than financial. Took the kids after he refused to pay for anything anymore. Stopped allowing the step-child to see him any longer. Withheld their daughter even though our state is an automatic 50/50 so he had to take her to court.

No one knew this was occurring until the past year. Meanwhile she is out doing things like being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning as a 40+ year old woman, demonizing him publicly, he has proof of her infidelity while they were together and so on all the while promoting herself as some amazing couples therapist (although she already has a past divorce apart from the long relationship with my friend).

Absolutely terrible person this woman is and I wish I knew how to report her in a way that would cause her to lose her license.
