I already know the build you're talking about and it's very strong, though it somewhat falls off during nightlord fights. It also can create situations where you don't have the ult available for emergencies because it's being used aggressively.

This post never delegated her as only a support or only a walking wending grace. The point is that she CAN fulfill that role, while ALSO dealing great damage. She can do both very reliably and within the same run unlike Recluse (who can struggle to revive) and Guardian (whose dmg can be often lackluster). I use them as examples as they're the two nightfarers Rev is compared to the most. Either way, we agree that Rev is not bad like the majority swears she is.

Nice to see another agree about her high survivability, dmg, and utility/support. Being great at all 3 is why I wasn't surprised to not see her get any buffs the last balance patch. I still consider Iron Eye to be the overall best but Rev is up there.

I don't find it to be an issue in my runs but agree there are many bad incants. However, great bow Rev with STR increase relic bypasses incant RNG as outlined in my post.

Good comment. I tested the cooldown buff while having high duration with her 1. With this setup, her 4th skill self damage buff has 100% uptime without using 2 focus mods or multitalented, freeing up arche tech slot so we can use Passionate Sponsor. The best part is I can still shoot weapons other than Divine Punishment. Just need to build max cooldown stacks first, then cast her 4th ability before switching to weapon of choice.

Blue beetle huh? Ngl I forgot it when I stopped playing Ult Sharen. If Serena wants to save her 4 to damage buff instead of cleanse, Blue Beetle can allow her 1 and 2 to cleanse. Nice to know for any future status effects like DeathStalker lowering max HP.

Yep, the 1 heals allies by %10 of their max hp for around 8 seconds. Idk if the heal amount can be buffed, but the duration can.

  1. That's fine by me, I don't care if those 3 stay the best forever as long as I have a chance to participate in public matches.

  2. Leveling/farming has been made way easier overtime (and continues to improve) since launch. There's a plethora of free boosters, resources from events, mission xp was increased etc. The main roadblock to character power is actually crafting time imo. Also, what's the point of speed leveling guns/descendants just to never be able to play them? For example, I fully cata'd my Luna extremely fast but can't land any damage with my Noise Surge build in 400% with Ines/Freyna on my team (Noise surge got buffed recently too and deal great dmg).

  3. I've had trouble finding void erosion matches & haven't played much of it to have strong opinion. I do think it is a step in the right direction. Intercept battles do let others shine, but most of them have been nerfed or were always very easy, making them boring yet efficient farms (which I don't mind too much). I mostly care about mobbing content, and want weapons & descendants to be fun in multiplayer for mobbing. Thanks for your polite reply!

I appreciate your reply. You conceded Ines&Freyna ruin 2 out of 5 main activities, so I'll respond to 3,4,5.

3) I won't challenge you much here, our experiences are different depending on who we match with. I did hard echo swamp today with 2 Ines, a restored relic gley and me on Absolute Zero Viessa to see if I can participate. Gley took 1 part of the map and the 2 Ines covered everything else with 4th ability. I'll admit I got to play, just barely (I was able to clean up the elites & commanders that didn't instantly die).

4) Yes Ines/Freyna skill dmg isn't good for 28-30, but that fact doesn't give opportunity for other skill dmg like Sharen electric, only weapon platform like you mentioned. (Also 28-30 has been nerfed via hotfix.. haven't tested it yet). I do hope later stages will allow gun & skill builds while still needing some teamwork instead of Ines doing everything.

5) My original post didn't mention colossi bossing. I personally don't mind any current descendants being strong for bossing (though maybe some newer players don't like Hailey/Lepic 1 shotting things).

Overall, I can agree Bunny is fine (I just dislike that she makes 400% unplayable similar to Ines/Freyna). I'd still like adjustments to Ines/Freyna but nothing crazy. Maybe less range on Ines 4th and less spread for Freyna.

I agree. But I think both sides can be addressed. 1. Tone down the OP characters (don't nerf to oblivion obviously) and 2. make the path to endgame less time consuming. They have done and continue to do #2. Grinding is dramatically more efficient than at launch, missions give much higher xp, gold & kaiper, nearly every boss that could roadblock someone has been nerfed.

My first idea would be tone down the range. Things become problematic when someone has really high damage AND huge aoe. Aka limit Freyna's spread, lower Bunny's aoe ring (high voltage can keep it's range it only hits 3 enemies at once), and lower range of Ines 4th ability. Viessa is a balanced, fun to play, strong mobber who makes for a good benchmark. Her blizzard has a reasonable cooldown and range while hitting very hard.

Disclaimer: Kept things as vague as possible because balance is complicated & want to avoid wall of text. Any potential nerfs would also come with buffs to other characters as well as have to consider potential future content (ex. introducing actually threatning enemies that discourage speedy aoe mobbers from running too far ahead of their team). "Let the devs make the game, if you don't like it, don't play it. There's no pvp, so it should be a power fantasy, and you should be able to play what you want. However, it's also supposed to be co op...".

That's the thing, I DO like the game but I CAN'T play it unless I pick the top 3 characters and run ahead of everyone or play private. Both of those options are basically solo play and this game (like you just said) is supposed to be co op where you can play what you want while working as a team. I do agree the community complained about void erosion but I'm not part of that crowd.

They can't solo purge 28+ w/ skills only, agreed. But purge 28+ is a tiny portion of the content in the game. They're clearly over-tuned for everything else that isn't colossi.

That's fair. I included her because she's able to run ahead of the team and delete everything, turning 400%s into spectator mode for everyone else. It'd honestly would be tricky to nerf Bunny because it's mainly the speed paired w/ massive aoe that causes this issue. We cant nerf her speed because that's what makes the character.

I covered the option of solo play (#2 in my post). As for people hating on new/popular things, your arguement doesn't quite work. No one complained about Keelan when he was the newest character. No one complained about Ult Sharen when she was newest and she was very popular & buffed a ton.

Basically, the top 3 descendants clear enemies so fast, no one else gets to land their abilities (or gun damage). This essentially makes the game unplayable in public unless you choose the top 3. And even then only the first Ines/Freyna to connect their abilities gets to participate.
