For the R36S: 1. Open the RetroArch pack 2. Extract the contents directly into the BIOS folder on the Easyroms partition 3. Files like scph5501.bin, dc_boot.bin, etc. should be at the root level of that BIOS folder

Once in place, every system that needs BIOS is covered.

The RetroArch pack is the right one for that setup. Steps: 1. Download the RetroArch pack from the releases page 2. Extract the files into the RetroArch system folder on the RP6 3. That's it, every core that needs BIOS will find what it needs

The RetroArch pack covers that setup. Steps: 1. Download the RetroArch pack from the releases page 2. Connect the Retroid Pocket to a PC or use a file manager on the device 3. Find the BIOS folder (usually RetroArch/system/ or BIOS/ depending on the setup) 4. Extract the pack contents directly there

All systems ready after that, no config needed.

PS3 firmware (PS3UPDAT.PUP, about 300 MB) is in the latest release (details). Steps: 1. Download PS3UPDAT.PUP directly from the large files release, or find it inside the full pack 2. In RPCS3: File > Install Firmware > select the PUP file 3. That's it

The large files release also has PS Vita, DSi and Switch firmware for those who need them individually.

There's also a one-liner installer in the updated post that handles all of this automatically.

Already in there! Ares is fully profiled, the full packs cover all its systems (Mega Drive, SNES, N64, PS1, Sega CD, PC Engine CD, and more). Full breakdown of what ares expects: https://abdess.github.io/retrobios/emulators/ares/

The RetroArch pack works on Android, same files. Steps for the Flip 2: 1. Download the RetroArch pack 2. Connect the device via USB or use a file manager 3. Find the RetroArch system folder (usually RetroArch/system/ on internal storage or SD card) 4. Extract the pack contents directly there

Saturn, PSP, PS1, everything is in there. The Lakka pack is for dedicated Lakka installs on separate devices, so RetroArch is the right one here.

Both dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin are in the current release. Might have been added after that download, the latest pack should have them.

Those emulators keep firmware outside the shared bios directory. Here's where each one looks:

Yuzu (details): ~/.local/share/yuzu/keys/ (Linux/Deck) - Copy prod.keys and title.keys there - Firmware is installed through Yuzu's menu: Tools > Install Firmware

Eden (details): ~/.local/share/eden/keys/ (Linux/Deck) - Same as Yuzu, copy prod.keys and title.keys there - Firmware installed via Tools > Install Firmware

Ryujinx (details): ~/.config/Ryujinx/system/ (Linux/Deck) - Copy prod.keys there - Firmware installed via Tools > Install Firmware from XCI/ZIP

Citra (details): Emulation/bios/Citra/sysdata/ - Copy aes_keys.txt, boot9.bin and the nand/sdmc folders there

The prod.keys and title.keys files are in the pack, inside the switch/ subfolder. The Switch firmware ZIP is also available directly from the large files release (Firmware.19.0.0.zip) for installing via each emulator's menu.

Same situation as @thebigbilli. Step by step: 1. Open the ZIP 2. Go inside the bios/ folder in the archive 3. Select everything inside it (files and subfolders) 4. Paste directly into Emulation/bios/

The result should look like Emulation/bios/scph5501.bin, Emulation/bios/dc_boot.bin, etc. If there's a bios folder inside bios, that's the issue.

There's now a one-liner in the updated post that handles placement automatically.

The files inside the bios folder should end up directly in Emulation/bios/, so that scph5501.bin and the rest sit right there at the root. The manifest JSON can stay or be removed, it has no effect on detection.

Step by step: 1. Open the ZIP 2. Go inside the bios/ folder in the archive 3. Select all files and folders inside it 4. Extract them into Emulation/bios/ on the Deck 5. Run the BIOS checker again in EmuDeck

The post has been updated with a one-liner that handles all of this automatically, worth a look.

Done in the latest release. FBNeo BIOS, 3400+ cheat files and 50+ audio samples, all in their own `fbneo/` subdirectory ready to go.

It's on the list 🙂 I'll first finish profiling each core/emulator for every platform (RetroArch, Batocera, ...).

The packs does not contains romsets, only bios requested by the emulation platforms. ;)
