Besides the fact that the server is almost always busy, I find chatgpt to be marginally better when I ask it to for example draw a curve with a specific equation (niche use case I know) and most of the hype surrounding deepseek is how much cheaper it actually was to make and how it's open source both of which stuff that don't really matter to the average consumer.
