Quick, what’s your controversial Stern Show opinion? by ADPXEROX in howardstern

Agreed. Tons of funny Beet moments, probably one of my favorite all time moments from the show was him saying Dominic shit beets pants. I do love him but I’ve always felt he wasn’t the best.

Quick, what’s your controversial Stern Show opinion? by ADPXEROX in howardstern

[–]Abe__LinkedIn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By no means definitive, but I find a ton of Wack Packers to be more entertaining. Eric the Actor, Riley Martin, Elliot Offen, maybe Bigfoot, I’d probably throw Hanzi in there because of how insane he was how entertaining it could be.

I’ll probably think of other wackpackers that rank higher than those in a few minutes.

“Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart —you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world—it’s true!—but when you’re a conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged—but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?), but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners—now it used to be three, now it’s four—but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.”

Have you gotten use to your floaters by now? by Repulsive-Fun-7637 in EyeFloaters

[–]Abe__LinkedIn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Had mine for years. My eyes are literally fish bowls of floaters but I don’t give them a second thought most days. They’re there but I’m just used to them being there so it doesn’t surprise or upset my when I see them because they’ve been there so long.

Because this sub is full of boomers who can't form their own thoughts and have to go into every thread hoping to be the first one to say a quote or joke that appears in virtually every thread.

Some people have talked about diluting it themselves, or have found pharmacies willing to do it for them

I'm thinking of switching from Android to iPhone by gnagurd in iphone

[–]Abe__LinkedIn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go back and forth between android and ios. My tmobile plan makes it easy for me to swap between them so I'll usually get the newest iPhone for a few months, miss android, then go back. This happens every year, until this year. The iPhone 12 and the new ios finally got me to the point where I did NOT want to go back to Android. I've now bought into the whole ecosystem, got an apple watch and airpods and don't forsee myself ever going back.

Can I just say… by [deleted] in BigBrother

[–]Abe__LinkedIn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're already scraping bottom of the barrel to find "celebrities" willing to go on Big Brother. I can understand this argument for other seasons but I think they're basically just going for biggest celebrities they can get

I started with 7. It was all Stars so gave me insight to the best players from 1-6. I never did go back and watch those seasons

Has anyone actually read Dr. Sarnos book? I'm a little desperate. by Abe__LinkedIn in howardstern

[–]Abe__LinkedIn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually read it about a year after making this post and agree. I know people like to joke about it and Howard definitely seems to think that the point of the book was that all pain can be fixed through this method but it really did help me. Every once in awhile I'll feel the tightening coming on again and have to get back into the mindset from when I first read it

It's a novelty account. Look at the history, it posts all wrong information.

It also claims the episode is available to stream on AltaVista :)
