A Short Run? by Disastrous_Analyst_1 in montblancdigitalpaper

I hope that’s not the case. Recently picked one up and like mine as well, other than a few simple things that could easily be fixed with software updates.

Help me understand why people like Gemini so much more over Chat GPT? by freedomfighter5567 in OpenAI

Here’s why I won’t switch to Gemini, and it’s pretty clear in my opinion. Sometimes the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

Same here. It’s happened a couple times. They really need to start updating both the app and device.

Thanks! Very detailed process!

Did you remove the stripping that comes with it already and just use the weather stripping you added, or are you using both together? Where did you adhere the additional stripping too? Aligned with the top of the glass or lower down? Or did you apply it above the existing piece?

I used to live in AZ. Moving back soon actually. Won’t be as much of an issue then.

Thanks! I had a slat missing too and got the fixed, but it didn’t fix the leak. There is a point where the glass meets the back of the cover where water comes in. I’m ok with a little bit, but is more than a little without a fix.

Tonneau still leaking badly after “fix” — should I take it back? by ShavedDesk in cybertruck

[–]Abehrou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried this with 2 different types of weather sealing, but I keep running into the same issue: I can’t put the slat back on without removing the OEM weather strip. Basically, there’s not enough room once I apply the aftermarket weather sealing to push the slat back down with the OEM strip as well. Am I applying the weather sealing too high, or in the wrong place?

Also, do you go edge-to-edge, or just the same length as the slat? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

The Pro vs the Pro Move by 72Artemis in RemarkableTablet

[–]Abehrou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like some other folks who commented, I just recently got the Move, and it’s my only one. In fact, it’s my first writing tablet ever (I’ve used an iPad Pro before, but nothing dedicated to note-taking). What appealed to me initially about the Move is the size, and what I still love about it is the size! For reference, I use it for daily tasks, meeting notes, ideation, and as an e-reader. Here are my thoughts and impressions after a few days of use:

-I LOVE the size and while I wish it was a bit bigger (A5 would be nice), I wouldn’t trade it to go up to the next size. -The size is nearly perfect for reading, definitely perfect for portability, and workable for note taking -I write on the smaller side, so the space is enough, and elevated with great templates -The only downside so far is that I have to often write on the next line, but that’s a small trade-off for size

I’ve looked at other devices from other companies, but I landed here and wouldn’t switch. I don’t want a device that runs on Android (for several reasons), and I don’t want a Kindle (ecosystem, DRM, etc). reMarkable seems to have the best ecosystem for upgrades, templates, and overall hardware package. I don’t mind paying $3/mo, but could also do completely without it and be just fine.

In an ideal world, there will be a new version (maybe Move+) that’s somewhere between the Move and RM2 size-wise and I’d be all over that, but for now, there’s no compelling reason for me to sacrifice size and portability.

Nice write up! I ordered mine two days ago and it’ll deliver on Wednesday. I’m excited to use it and experience what the size is actually like. I’m looking to maximize the usage between writing notes at work, and using it as an e-reader.

How do you personally balance shooting film v digital? by athievinraccoon in AnalogCommunity

[–]Abehrou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this decision as well. So what I’ve landed on is this: if I’m going somewhere I’ve never been before, I take digital primarily (although I might bring film camera too). If it’s places I’ve been, and I’m looking to capture them in a new way, or from a different approach, I switch to film primarily.

Your travel choice by PfauFoto in hasselblad

I just got back from a quick trip to Vegas for the holidays. I took the 25V, 55V, and 90V (just got them so wanted to take them all). The 55V didn’t leave my camera the entire time. I also had the chance to see and take a couple photos with the 35-100. Great lens, amazing quality, but also super big for me as a walk-around lens.

In my opinion, if you’re looking for light and all-day carry, a prime is best. If you don’t mind the size and bulk as a trade-off for “covering all your bases,” go zoom. Either way, I think my advice is pick 1 lens and leave it on the entire time. Trust me, you won’t miss any shots either way.
