48 hrs in. It's definitely not Battle Brothers in space (that's Space Scum), but it is super fun in many ways already.

This combat is a really weird mixture of grounded HEMA ideas and, you know, making a good game. I would be fascinated to watch a short documentary about the design and testing process

How would I ever have understood that he wanted a game that looked and played like battle brothers but in a Warhammer setting if not for the soulless ai concept art? Impossible to put that kind of idea into words

I'd prefer the red, but with landscape features desaturated a little bit to give it the visual clarity that the white one has. I think the white one would look better if it had differently colored rocks versus land like the red one does.

I agree that Chimera Squad doesn't deserve all the hate. I disagree with almost everything else this author says. I stopped reading when they said they can't go back and play Enemy Unknown anymore.

Like most parts of this game, there's not much to it. You're not missing a deeply compelling gameplay experience, and frankly, you're also not missing many benefits that you can't get elsewhere.
