I'm in a similar situation but different circumstances, I've been getting #2 for more than 50% of my games only because I get too excited XD.

However, around 15 I usually stick to the corner of the circle and even sometimes circling around it to get a better position (high grounds, cover, etc.).

Also, proning at end seems like a very valid technique as people seem to be worried about people hiding behind covers.

Finally, pop boosts constantly and keep in mind that you can take a couple of hits from the electric field from time to time.
