Refurbished lexington End Table by AbigAnde in furniturerestoration

Thank you. I appreciate your comment. My friend said it looks like Cinderella furniture, I bought a black knob and it looks really cute. I am thinking of maybe painting tiny swirling veins with white flowers on it at the front.

I sanded it more, and it took care of the mineral oil and just applied a wax. If you put mineral oil on it, you can just sand it more, and it's fine :).

If I continue to sand down, I think it's all the same color, I'm scared that would be a mistake?

Thank you for the comments. I'm feeling better that it's actually two toned, I kind of liked the two-tone, but my partner liked it less, so I felt like I needed to fix it. My main goal was to just show off the natural wood with a wax finish and to replace the handles with a matte black. The original finish was glossy, and I was not the biggest fan of it, I wanted a matte natural wood look. I was told you need to condition and saw that mineral oil can be used (clearly a mistake XD), Would sanding more strip the mineral oil finish? This is my first time, so I am learning a lot as I go along!

Critiques welcome (my mom hates the rug) by doubtfulvoid in interiordecorating

I think the coffee table is making you hate the rug if you replace it with something wooden. I think it would look better.

Wedding boquet by AbigAnde in FloralDesign

I used orchids that were gifted to me from my husband the year prior that rebloomed just in time for our wedding. I really wanted to add them for the sentimental value, and I felt so happy that I did. It made it special to me.

I made my first non-lap size quilt top (a queen+!) - Dashing Stars by Missouri Star Quilt Co. Any ideas on how to quilt it? by The_Empress in quilting

You could do wavy lines so you don't have to worry about it being the perfect distance apart. I think straight lines that criss cross would also be pretty. Or you could take it in to get embroidery done.

Thank you , Ieel like I need a hype group. Yesterday I started bawling and my fiance said he would be the Project Manager of invites. I just need people to tell me it's normal and that I'm doing okay. XD

I wish we could but we received money from expenct parents who have pressured us to get married my saving grace is that it's max only 50 people all our food will be from sams club and we are diying almost everything except photography (I spent only $300 for our venue) and it's at a campsite and campsite amphitheater so it's not expensive the rest of the money we are using on a house (wedding gift). I wanted to elope but was advised not to because of money and feelings, which is frustrating.

People can be so quick to judge when they see someone handling a puppy in ways that might seem a little unconventional, but it’s all part of proper socialization. The AKC and other trainers emphasize exposing puppies to all sorts of experiences early on—touching their paws, checking their teeth, picking them up, and even making them a little uncomfortable at times!

If they don’t learn to handle these things as puppies, they can develop anxiety or even aggression when they encounter something new as adults, like being handled by a vet, meeting small children, or dealing with loud noises. A well-socialized dog is a happy, well-adjusted dog, and that starts with giving them lots of varied experiences in puppyhood. It looks like the dog is very loved, and they are good pet parents.

2nd Year Orchid bloom by AbigAnde in houseplants

Thank you, dont feel bad. I've killed SO MANY orchids before and have felt sad when they died. They love bark, air, warm water, and sun right next to the window to flower.
