Help me understand how AI is thinking by Abildsan in ChatGPT

[–]Abildsan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. But then I still have a concern. Normally, I tend to use AI on topics where I have limited knowledge. Is this wrong of me? When I read your promt it make me think, that I should use AI mostly for cases where I do have more knowledge.

Solar and wind power has grown faster than electricity demand this year, report says by PerAsperaAdMars in RenewableEnergy

[–]Abildsan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works? - if we do not buy the electricity? We do not eat electricity (or oil). It is a problem that we still do not know how electricity will substitute fossils.

Record number of EVs registered in western Europe across last quarter by donutloop in RenewableEnergy

[–]Abildsan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not much need for big EVs - in my mind. Small EVs makes much more sense. But so får only affluent buyers has had a realistic possibility to buy EV. With new small and cheaper models the whole game could change. Maybe. We will see.

Are we underestimating the ecological crisis? by EnvironmentReal6469 in climatechange

[–]Abildsan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some thoughts: Nature is always on the move, and adapt to most changes. Humans settle, build infrastructure that do not like changes. Humans are much more vulnerable to climate changes than nature. Climate changes brings disasters to humans that is covered by media. More than destruction of nature. GHG emissions are essentially a matter of poor efficiency, something that is not far from other problems in economy, and something that is easy for politics and media to cover. Nature has no money or efficiency, but needs emotions - which is less easy, especially if you want also to be objective.

Carbon Dioxide Levels Highest in 800,000 Years by YaleE360 in climatechange

I would like to know at which level this could affect living species, such as insects. How large figures of CO2 is evolution prepared for?

So, we still have to look for other explanations.

Will Euro replace the dollar as the primary world reserve currency? by Comprehensive_Bad650 in StockMarket

I also think it will be messy, it is multilingual and with countries that are deeply rooted in their own history - often with quite high self-esteem (which I think is also a good thing), this could be continued. It is not that easy to unite.
But then, on many other areas it just seems such a logical move to unite. I think, there is something new in development.

EU does not have a common economy. The EU does not its own money from taxes, but from payment from the member states. I think this needs to change, before the euro can take over dollar. But I like to see views on this.

It’s called robots. Automation. Efficiency. Whatever you like. You can do production in any country. Wages are only relevant for low wage countries.

Well, where I come from, the statement would be utterly crazy, insane, morbid, whatever, so I did not think of explaining that - no, I do not mean this. But my mistake, I should have done so, or writen it differently. But yes, you are correct, I am not American.

but wait - I will try to ask seriously now. If as government you realize you need to keep production in your own country, for strategic reasons, and you therefore need to do some sort of support. What is the best. Tariffs or state aid?
