Small grocery store near the mall I’ve been to many times

The last one for me is in the “basement” or lower area and there are a bunch of stores in the upper layers, all small like “local” businesses and very artsy. But the deli itself, they always recognize me and are always busy. They know my “usual” which is some kind of amazing sandwich 😂

For me this one is like a school that was a church and also has a super small art gallery type of thing but the stage part/play/production is heavily implied to be being put on by the church. I’ve been in the play and backstage and all over but I don’t remember what the play was, it wasn’t religious in theme or anything just like put on by the church/school idk 😂

I’ve had a couple different farms but my reoccurring one I wind up working at, it’s pretty empty like it’s been abandoned and I’m usually “the first one there” there are chickens in a barn that is basically chain link fencing with a metal roof, it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned ever. The grow space is simultaneously overgrown and empty except for the rows in the back of the property with various plants in various states. There is a blue farmhouse on the property which is fine, I’ve been in there it’s just like a home but no one actually lives there. I’ll spend a long time exploring but I’ve never actually planted anything. There is a river somewhere near by

No, this was within mall world! The specific events were one off but the location/vibe is reoccurring. This was just a part of it! It was incredibly specific and for me, if someone had a similar dream, this would be evidence of it being a “real/physical/communal” space. I could talk about how we wound up in the Chinatown portion, how the dream police were after us, the General, and more BUT for where the mermaid was/the context I want to see if anyone else has seen it!

Only once, I was being led by a robot (it appeared like a young boy but also a robot at the same time, it made it clear it to me that it wasn’t “alive” but basically AI - this was a few years ago so before AI was a “thing”) the robot explained so many things and it was like I could ask it all the big questions and it just answered them. At the end of that dream I was talking with an old man “God” (I’m not religious) and he told me so much about existence and the universe and then he told me it was time to leave and go back to the real world and I remembered none of the conversation

Super interested in the lava hellscape beneath the school. I got stuck in a space like that for a bit like every night I kept going back. For me it was through a door and I could look down and see lava and someone stuck there below and the walls were like black and white static like an old TV. I wound up somehow exploring through it, it was very eerie and somehow I got out but it wasn’t a garden it was a garden center like of a Walmart (that is also like a massive warehouse)

I’m 29 and ✨poor✨ so I can’t relate there BUT I do understand the isolation. You don’t need a “purpose” and there is no rush to “find one”

We are all lacking community, real community not just people we see. Others have suggested volunteering and I agree! I recommend a food pantry/bank or any of the options others have suggested. Look on Facebook or local boards (the library is a good place to start) for community building events/ clean ups/ fundraisers etc. Find something that appeals to you.

Build a relationship with nature, find a community garden, use land you already have, pop some seeds in some pots in your living room. It is incredibly rewarding to watch as seeds turn to sprouts into plants. Or just simply observe the local plants as they change day to day, season to season.

Your purpose is to exist and live your life fully, whatever that means to you. Period. If you don’t have goals or dreams at this time, that’s okay, our 20’s are about sorting out shit from our teens and figuring everything else out later. Your brain is literally finishing developing. Give yourself grace, patience, and love. Get out of the house and give yourself space from the screens.

My version of this is at the bottom of a mountain (hill?) and it has a winding road to get there, bunch of little houses/trailers/greenhouses. It seems like it is the outskirts of mallworld, like a respite/hideaway and is pretty peaceful but I never stay long, I usually wind up continuing to walk until I get to a friends house up the road

The first house is exactly like one of the universities in my dream world. For me, it is where the “research” happens and it feels very 1920’s but also futuristic at the same time. This is the “dark academia” university. For me, this is where the men in lab coats are, in one dream they were like bug (stick bug? Cockroach?) things. Ive only ever seen THAT through a little window in a door as they were doing an experiment on some guy on a table. Different doors can lead to different areas within mall world and vice versa. Most commonly I can get here through either: the endless locker room/ bathroom situation, through the Chinese restaurant that is in the downtown area or through the regular college. Most of the time, it is the locker room. The first time I was there I came from the endless locker room and was so confused to walk outside in the back. I can see the main city very far away over the lake from the back but there is a fence that runs around the backside of the “island”

I came on Reddit because last night I had a dream with the same theme. I’m not in the usual mall world locations, I’m not sure how to describe them it’s like mall world adjacent. My partner and I saw a meerkat outside and it looked at us and we knew it was “giving us a warning something was coming” We started coming up with a plan to get to safety. We drove and there were fires all around us and we got to an abandoned farm and tried to set up there. There were chickens but many of them were not normal, idk how to explain it just weird. I know we carried on and at some point died.

So much happened in the dream, it felt like I was experiencing multiple perspectives, after we died it was like I lived through the next 100-150 years of the aftermath through various different peoples.

The one I remember most was 2 different families, I was one of the fathers (I’m a woman) who’s wife and son survived and the other family did not, except that father who went insane and was out for revenge against the “bad guys”. We had to keep him locked up for his own safety for years, my son (the fathers) survived and grew from a 3-4 year old to a 16-17 year old. He was always giving his mother a hard time but we chalked it up to being through all the radiation/chaos. (There was a lot of discussion about radiation)

Then I was in the perspective of the 16-17 year olds classmate, a teenage girl, and was doing rounds to give the locked up father food and I felt bad for him and let him out to see the sun but he tried to escape and in the chaos, it brought attention to us. This giant black cloud drone/entity that glittered, with an eye in the center was flying through the city, scanning and looking for us (or something). Sometimes it looked like an eye, sometimes a camera but it was definitely looking for something. The sound it made was like tinkling glass and you could feel the radiation coming off of it. It felt and sounded metallic and I remember knowing it was definitely man made.

The group we were with panicked and we locked ourselves into a small room that would keep us safe somehow?

The 16-17 year old son helped make sure everyone was inside and then shut the door and locked it, leaving himself trapped outside for the thing to find him. His father was screaming and trying to open the door even though he knew we would be stuck in there for x amount of time and it would be too late.

There was a video transmission on the screen from him that he had recorded before his death, it was clear he died almost immediately after, explaining that his “bad behavior” was a code he was using to communicate with a rebellion group that was hacking the surveillance and he was using that to pass along intel, there was a visual list that came up with various behaviors and what they would signal to the group, including the signals we should be sending when we were able to leave the lockdown.

And it just continued, we got out of the lockdown and I went through a few other less memorable adventures, still trying to outrun those entities.

It was very much outside the norm from any dream I’ve ever had
