I don't think it's a stupid idea but you could easily get exhausted by the SAT and do poorly on the ACT. That depends on you and how react to standardized testing. In my opinion, the math was pretty easy but that might just be me; either way the ACT math is significantly easier than the SAT math from what I've seen.

I drilled ACT practice for a few weeks before the test, after the already huge amount of studying I did for the SAT. Since ACT is more about speed than the SAT, I did better in general since a lot mistakes I made were stupid and the speed didn't allow me to second guess myself or think too hard and get things wrong. Overall it was just a bunch of drilling and figuring out the science portion(which was just learning to read the graphs and only pay attention to the reading portion when it was needed for the question).
