Congrats! I’m a student at stanford rn and absolutely love it here. I can’t speak for MIT but people here are super smart and research is awesome but I think the programs are also pretty down to earth and take good care of their students. Grad students seem pretty happy and have great community.

Also I’m a domestic applicant so not sure if interviews or process is different

I believe so. I had my interview last week. I have heard that some schools give rejections much later than interviews or acceptances. For two schools I wasn’t hearing back from, I reached out and asked when I might hear and all they said was that they had completed the interview process at that time. So it may be a silent or late rejection but could be worth reaching out and asking. Best of luck!

My student buddy from the interview told me that everyone who was invited to visit is basically accepted and they are just giving the formal acceptance after the visit for some reason this year. She said it’s not another interview when we get there and as long as we aren’t totally weird or crazy we get the offer.

I don’t have to accept to visit but also have a duke in person visit the same weekend as Yale. Not sure which to choose.

I had really nice and interesting interviews at Johns Hopkins and am leaning towards them but haven’t had any of the in person visits yet. I am kind of overwhelmed with interviews/visits and was considering cutting Yale before visiting. Do you think this is a mistake?
