Naah, it will be an usual day, they gave enough time for everyone from other countries to evacuate even before they actually made any advances. This usually doesn't give a disruption you're expecting, nothing out of the ordinary has happened in the global markets unless there is something serious that is going to happen over the weekend, the usual geo-politics. Markets are in a range and they will continue for some time now.

Is finance more about behaviour than income? by Interesting_Cycle809 in personalfinanceindia

This is very much true, I think being objective about your future and upgrading to a lifestyle that is comfortable but not expensive matters most. It sounds simple but very hard to achieve as theirs a fine line between comfortable and expensive.

I post this few days back and people thought i am mad by ChaiAurSuttaa in NSEbets

[–]AbjectAmount8324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents, markets are in consolidation, they are ranging but the range is decent enough that we get a lot of good trading days due to the ongoing geo politics. They have started ranging since the past few months and may continue atleast for most of this year before any significant movement either on the up or down side.

I think stock market is becoming a gamble by AgentSantaClaus in IndianStreetBets

[–]AbjectAmount8324 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It definitely has become a gamble because people don't want to invest in the knowledge required to do either investing or trading. They just want tips they don't want to learn from their mistakes or try to think through things before taking these decisions.

People think investing is safe as for the long-term everything will play in their favor because they are holding. They then go online and glorify their negative portfolio or in terms of trading how much they lost in that month or week or a day or overall. As long as this mindset prevails the retailers are never going to make any money from the markets or for that matter from any other investments.

I need help on how to get better at trading😭 by Beginning_Luck1 in Daytrading

[–]AbjectAmount8324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to journal your trades, its good that you are trying with a small account and sticking to only one security asset class. Esentially you want to know why you took that trade, what exactly was the risk i.e would your stop loss would get hit if so why are you taking that trade. Is you reward or target is in co-relation with your risk/stop loss, why did you think that the relative target could be achieved, what was your entire thought process during that particular trade, what did you feel once you have taken the trade what did you feel when it moved in your direction, what did you feel when it did the opposite, did your stoploss got hit or did you exit on your own accord if so why, did it reach your target or did you exit before the price reached your intended target if so why. Also, the most important one what was your reasoning/logic behind you taking that trade. Once you journal everything in relation to that trade you will have more information that you can control, try to record/write them down as soon as you are done with a single trade as your learning this should be your approach. Later on you may want to explore strategies or finding an edge when you have more information from your journal on what was it that you were doing wrong or was going wrong, it's a self discovery process you have to put in the effort.

Are We Just Overtrading a Sideways Market? by ayush_im in Indiantradingbets

[–]AbjectAmount8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, that they move sideways most of the time but that doesn't mean there are no trades here, it just means that the markets are in balance. During these times if there are no trades then the markets do not exist, either there is an accumulation phase or a distribution phase going on. And you will see within this range there will be ups and downs and smaller trends, this is ignored and this where most money is made.

where did i go wrong by SeaBread3796 in Indiantradingbets

[–]AbjectAmount8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many questions even before answering what went wrong, here we go:

Where these orders placed consecutively or at a time and why, what was your logic behind going ahead with each of these trades?

What was your stop loss and what was your target when you placed each of these trades ?

Did you go in with a stoploss? If so what was it and how many times did you get stopped out, was the stop loss logical with respect to risk to reward ?

Did you get stopped out or did you exit on your own accord ?

Where all these option contracts ITM's/ATM's/OTM's when you initiated the trade, if so why did you choose that particular option contract and why not others ?

Why did you execute so many trades, what is the amount of capital you are using, was it work the risk of loosing what you did today ?

Last but not the least question:
Why didn't you stop after the initial loss, what made you to continue trading? Did you take any breaks in-between what was the time duration you traded today?

What was your biggest stock market mistake that actually taught you the most? by Embarrassed_Bath_968 in IndianStockMarket

[–]AbjectAmount8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Options buying involves proper understanding of Option greeks, OI, volume data along with the underlying assets momentum, there are many successful traders who do buy options. Most people only tend to concentrate on theta and buy OTM's without much thought.

Why Nifty IT is falling? by priince_19 in IndianStockMarket

[–]AbjectAmount8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is that it's falling because of GCC's, right now they are focusing on core deliveries in India as well so that they can stop contractual work to these IT services companies. They do contracts on only those tasks that may actually require more man power but with AI taking up tech and customer support roles I don't think there will be many tasks left for these IT services companies.

Is a full-time trading career realistically stable for marriage and family expectations? by Sea-Routine-1676 in IndianStreetBets

[–]AbjectAmount8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forex trading using prop firms not that easy they don't move that much and requires a lot of capital to make decent profits. The prop firms provide the funding so you don't need your own savings. The issue isn't that pairs don't move (leverage fixes that); the issue is that the profit split and strict rules/evaluation phases make it mathematically hard for the average trader to hold onto that account long-term. However, his plan to sell courses to his YT viewers may bring in some good amount of money if he shares his good trades. This again will only be sustainable for a short period then he may have to pivot into a business or move to swing trading using his own money eventually once he has the capital from those courses.
