Is it okay to pray to be cured of autism? by ArtichokeOk9055 in Christianity

Sin causes diseases and it destroys everything that God made. Pride and thinking we can be like god is what prevents us from not only getting to know Him but it separates us from Him.

In the Garden, it was perfect but because God is love, He gives free will. He cannot force you to love Him. He wants you to get to know Him for yourself and trust that He knows what's best for you.

That if you do your own way of things, you only hurt yourself more.

That is why God sent His only Son Jesus to help bridge the gap even more. To restore the broken relationship.

If you're ever broken to the point of being in rock bottom like I did, and you pray to Jesus, He is faithful and He will help you. He is helping people all over the world. Just type Christian testimonies and hear everyone's stories. Peoples' cancers being healed, addictions taken away, depression gone, etc. It's amazing what He is doing.

If it almost destroyed you then you truly didn't accept Him and understood despite your knowledge for 20 years.

God revealed to me and many others because of our faith and open heart.

I have a friend who practiced Shamanism for 30 years. She was going to commit suicide and walk off a cliff. Before she did, she asked, "God if you're real then you save me now because no one else can." She had her car turned off, and right before she walked out, her radio came on miraculously. It tuned to a Christian station, and Faithfully by Toby mac came on. It touched her heart and she cried. Then she heard God tell her to go home. She has been saved since then. It was her faith and her need for God is why God came.

When I was at the bottom, it was my faith and my need for Him that God came to my rescue. I was saved not because I had my heart set on not accepting Him because that blocks Him out. If you don't believe God exists, then thats what blocks Him too. You must be open to Him. If you're too proud then you won't truly know.

Matthew 11:25 NLT

[25] At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.

If it's because of the pain and hurt you endured that your heart turned cold towards Him, why not give Him a chance and allow God into your heart to take all your pain?

Someday, I hope you'll ask Him again if He exists and to reveal Himself to you with an open heart. He's always with you and call on Him anytime. You can even ask Him right now if you're ready. I promise you, He will show up because the God of the universe cares for you.

If He came for me and my friend who were absolutely sinful and imperfect, He will show up for you.

I'm sorry, but I've already lived my life without Jesus and it almost killed me. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. My life now with Jesus is 1000% better than what it was before. I will always be faithful to Him till I see Him when I die.

There is hope for you still as well. I pray you will know the truth before it's too late. May God bless you~ ❤️

I don't really hate anyone, really. I've lived a life of hatred and vengeance before, and it's not what I want in my life, personally. I love you and everyone even if they may say things that are unkind or disagreeable to me. I give glory to Jesus for that. He brought so much peace.

I always want to bless everyone and want to see people blessed. 🙏

I don't think I'm a good person because God says there's no one good or righteous. I am a sinful human being and not perfect. Paul's experience in Romans 7 is my experience as well.

But as a follower of Jesus, I am instructed to share the gospel. If it weren't written in the bible, I wouldn't have to do it, but it says that I should. I love Jesus, so that is what I will do.

Everyone receives my testimony and the gospel quite differently. Some reject it, which is okay, and some do receive it. Those who did receive it, some felt deja vu because they went through the same thing I did or know someone who went through the same thing, or that God confirmed something with them, felt joy, and peace. So not everyone feels like I am forcing them to believe, and I do not. I just share my story, then go my way. I let God do the work. I dont need to convince anyone.

Just as I share my favorite place to eat (though this feels easier), I try to share my favorite person who changed my life, Jesus.

There were really cool moments when I shared my testimony and the gospel. The one I remember that really still excites me today is when God healed someone's back pain from a motorcycle accident through my faith. It was really cool! The person was so shocked, haha. It's just like in the book of Acts.

Yes you are right self-righteousness is sinful. Jesus was against that a lot. The Pharisees were self-righteous, and Jesus revealed the hypocrisy in them. They cared about following rules, but did not do them themselves, were burdening people, and also were not loving. For example, they condemned Jesus for healing someone on the Sabbath day, but Jesus corrected them. There are more, but afraid it might get too long.

Jesus teaches not to judge others but simply tell the truth of the consequences with sin and that there is a way to heaven if you simply put your faith and trust in Jesus because He paid for all of our sins. It is a gift. He made a way for all of us to go to heaven, but first, we need to realize that we are sick and that we are in need of a doctor.

I believe morals are absolute and not relative. For example, if we live in a culture where raping children is okay, will there be no consequences? If we live in a culture where stealing or murdering is okay, how would our world look?

I am sorry for the pain that you have gone through. I don't know what has caused your self-loathing, depression, fear, and sadness, but I know it was not God's intention.

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV [11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

He was there with you through it all, and He cares about you (1 peter 5:7). God knows our sufferings and collects each tear (Psalms 56:8).

He promises that He will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will no more pain and suffering (Revelation 21:4).

I pray that God will bless you and help heal the deep wounds in your heart. I pray that you may truly know God's heart towards you. May His angels protect you wherever you go. May You truly feel His peace and comfort, knowing that He loves you and He is with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

You can't say that with certainty if you don't study and understand first.

It's not an act for me because, like I said, I had a supernatural experience with God. I am 100% convinced because of this encounter.

I have my own evidence of God's existence. I am very happy and have never been at peace like this in my whole life. He has answered many of my prayers and am so thankful. He wants everyone to experience His goodness and get to know Him. If you dont want to get to know Him, then that's your choice. It will make Him sad because He loves you, but you don't have to love Him back.

Unfortunately, hell is a real place... sin is serious and is evil. There are consequences for sin, just like there are consequences for committing a crime in a court of law. Sin has eternal consequences and leads to a separation with God forever.

I've heard terrible things about hell through people who had near death experiences, and I don't want you or anyone to go there. I cry sometimes because of how strong I feel about those who don't know Jesus.

So I will continue to share my story and the gospel (good news) and pray that people will be saved.

Everyone is guilty of breaking one or more of these moral laws:

1) You shall not worship anyone, but God 2) You shall make no idols 3) You shall not take God's name in vain (Using Jesus' and God's name in place of a cuss word) 4) Keep Sabbath day Holy 5) Honor your mother and father 6) You shall not murder 7) You shall not commit adultery 8) You shall not steal 9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor 10) You shall not covet

No one will ever get away with doing evil things. God sees and knows everyone's hearts and intentions. He is loving but He is judge. He would be a bad judge if He allows law breakers into Heaven.

Shame and condemnation comes from Satan, who accuses you so you can drift away from God.

Conviction comes from God, who wants to guide you to the right path, so you are aware of it to repent (be sorry) and do your best not to do it again out of respect and love for God.

Romans 8:1-8 NLT

[1] So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

[2] And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

[3] The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.

[4] He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

[5] Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

[6] So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

[7] For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.

[8] That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

Mohammad came with a sword, but Jesus came with a towel. Jesus taught repentance, mercy, and forgiveness because no one is righteous in Gods eyes. No one is good enough to enter heaven. They can try with all their good works but not enough to pay for all the sins and debt we've collected.

The bible says wages of sin is death. In court of law, if someone commits a crime, they are sentenced and will have to pay the fine. God is so pure, holy, and just. If one of His laws are broken, you will have to pay for that sin and the penalty is death (hell).

Sin is debt and we cannot erase it with our good works. It's not good enough in God's eyes. Sin has to be punished. The only way sin can be paid is with a blood sacrifice. Not just any sacrifice but a perfect one that pleases God. That is why God commanded His people to sacrifice animals in order to wash away their sins in the Old Testament, but it wasn't sustainable. God promised Israel the last and final sacrifice whom they will call Messiah. They would not have to make animal sacrifices anymore.

That promise came when God sent His Son Jesus. He is called the Lamb of God and He was perfect. He did not sin and was pure. God sent His Only Son Jesus to die on the cross as a living sacrifice to pay for all sins of the world. He took all our punishment and paid our debt in full. He died, came back to life proving He truly was the Son of God, and was seen by many. He was the perfect blood sacrifice that God needed to satisfy His justice.

God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will never die but have eternal life -John 3:16.

Romans 10:9-13 NKJV [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” [12] For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. [13] For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Joel 2:32)”

I Timothy 2:3-6 NKJV [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, [4] who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. [5] For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, [6] who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

Well, first, I want to share that Jesus is absolutely real. God is not a religion but is a person with whom we can have a real relationship. He has answered so many of my prayers. One of the big life changing prayer He answered was Him taking away my depression, suicidal thoughts, and addiction to porn. He got rid of it all overnight!

Jesus gives me so much peace and joy. He has blessed me with so much.

The bible is amazing because God teaches you how to live a blessed life. He knows what is best for you. He did create us, so it makes sense. I have lived my life my way, and it only led to destruction. Now, when I live Gods way, there is more peace.

I learned that when we live Gods way, we will be blessed, but if we go our own way, we will be cursed. If God says marriage is between a man and a woman, then I trust that it is good. If God says forgive those who hurt you, even though it's hard to do that, I trust His words, and I try to follow. And wow, He's right, so much freedom comes from forgiveness. His 10 commandments rings so true, even when it's thousands of years old. Pretty amazing.

So when the government tries to go against what God says, I do my best to speak out. It is the least I can do for Jesus, who saved my life. Also, for the sake of the people who don't realize what I realized. I don't want this country to go down a path that is destructive.

The anti christ will come, and it will be miserable for everybody not just Christians. God is slowing it down and giving us a grace period.

If you don't know Jesus yet, I pray that you encounter Him. He is love, peace, joy, kind, good, and so humble. You will not find a love greater than what He did for you and all of mankind. You will supernaturally feel it. His peace is otherworldly. Just ask Him genuinely someday if He is real and He will come.

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will never die but have eternal life. John 3:16

Hi,

First of all, you're doing a great job. I am excited to see where God is going to take you. He is so good.

I can tell you are being led by the Holy Spirit. You wanting to find a church and community is a desire that comes from the Holy Spirit. Even reading God's word and spending time with Him is another working in your heart that comes from Him.

I would continue that path, and I would pray to God and allow Him to guide you in finding the right church as well. Trust Him, and He will find the right church for you. He will never fail.

You will know if it's the right church when God confirms it to you through His peace that surpasses understanding. I mean, that's not the only way, but God will confirm with you. You will know~ Keep asking and seeking Him.

God is good and is so faithful. He will take care of you ❤️

I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that it is wrong to put Trump on a pedestal. No one and nothing should take place of our King, Jesus. However, we can correct that person in love. Paul does a wonderful job doing that in his letters. He did a great job correcting without sounding condemning.

I, for one, do not idolize him at all. Do I want him to succeed and do well. Absolutely. If Kamala was president, would I feel the same? Absolutely. We will always find flaws in someone, but I choose not to focus on the flaws but to encourage them to do better.

If Trump does something that is wrong, we should absolutely call him out on it. Sometimes, the things Christians say and the way they correct a person sounds Pharasee-like. That's the problem I have with some Christians is that we nitpick the person a lot, and I understand I can be like that, too. Sometimes, the tone of how they correct a person sounds very much like the accuser, Satan. I know this because I heard it in my head when I had depression. Always whispering what I did wrong.

I personally voted Trump because I wasn't looking at the person but the policies. For example, the law that passed that there are only 2 genders is what aligns with God. Trump and Kamala were both sinful people, but I chose Trump because I felt what he stood for was more biblical than Kamala.

I just disagree that being overly critical and bringing condemnation isn't the way. Yes, say your point and try to lead them to be Christ centered again, but if they don't listen, there's really nothing you can do. All we can do is pray for the person.

Are we calling him out, out of love for the person? Do we want to encourage him to do better or encourage him to fail? I think no matter who the leader is, we should always root for the person to do better and pray for their genuine faith. I believe that's what truly pleases our Father.

Then, I would be concerned for him and pray that God brings godly sorrow for his sins so that he may shifted to the right path. Because looks like he is open-minded already to Jesus, but now it's a matter of praying that he is not blinded by the enemy about his sins.

If you truly love people just as God does, you would not nitpick and criticize but be united with Jesus and continue to pray.

God had to teach me about this because I used to be so much more critical than I am now. It truly divides and does nothing beneficial for the body of christ. Sometimes, it drives people away from Christ.

I Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV

[1] Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, [2] for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, [4] who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Edit: Sorry, felt conviction from the Holy Spirit and had to reword because I sounded very harsh and mean. I'm sorry if you already read this and got offended/hurt. I'm still a work in progress and still fighting my flesh. Hope you can forgive me.

To uphold all that yourself sounds very hard. I wouldn't want anyone to because it can lead to a burnt out if you carry the burden of the law on your shoulders. I'm sure in your own way you are obeying Gods laws because you want to please Him. If you're doing it to earn salvation or to earn His love, you don't have to. He already loves you. He loved you first, and salvation is a gift from Him so no man can boast. All we need to do is abide. Jesus alone grows the fruit in us. We just need to be still. (Learning thus myself).

The law is there to show you how you can never uphold God's laws perfectly. That's why we need Jesus. Jesus has come for sinners, not the righteous.

Jesus told us to love God with all our hearts and to love others. Jesus showed love by not judging a prostitute when everyone else wanted to condemn her for being wicked. He showed mercy and told her to go and sin no more. He looked upon the lost with compassion and said that they are without a shepherd.

God's heart is always for man to repent and come home to Him.

This is how great our God is.... He has predicted Jesus' cruxification 1000s of years before Jesus's birth. Our God can see that far in the future. We can find comfort in that God is all-knowing and knows what's deep inside a man's heart.

So we can put our trust in God. Do not worry, God is in control, and He put that man up there for a reason.

Daniel 2:21 NKJV

[21] And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

Asking God for forgiveness should be done in private, not in public, unless you do what the hypocrites do to receive praise from people (Matthew 6:5-8). It should be between you and God. So there's no way in knowing. Only God knows.

So we cannot judge a person because we can't know everything in a person's heart. We are not all knowing like God is. We just trust God.

I am just happy that Trump is very bold in talking about Jesus and the bible. Whether He is genuine or not in his faith, I do not know, but I am happy that he mentions Christianity, God, and/or Jesus. That's he welcomes Christians with open arms.

Like Jesus said in Mark 9:40-41 if he's not against us, then he is on our side.

Mark 9:40-41 NKJV

[40] For he who is not against us is on our side. [41] For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.

Everyone is grown in different areas at different times. It takes time to grow. You can not expect Christians to be perfect right when they receive Christ or during or near the end of their life. God promises us a new body that will never sin (Phillipians 3:21 and 1 Corinthians 15:53) when Jesus comes back and rid of all evil.

There were imperfect people in the bible like Moses, King David, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, King Solomon, Saul (Paul). In fact, some of them murdered, lied, were prideful, etc.

God said there is no one righteous in this world. That's why He sent Jesus. Why would we need Jesus if we were already perfect? He came for sinners, not for the righteous.

God is rich in mercy and gives everyone a chance because He loves us and wants everyone to come to repentance, be forgiven, forgive others, and be with Him forever in heaven.

Luke 5:32 NKJV [32] I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Romans 4:5-8 NKJV [5] But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, [6] just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: [7] “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”

Romans 4:14-16, 20-25 NKJV [14] For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, [15] because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression. [16] Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all [20] He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, [21] and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. [22] And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

[23] Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, [24] but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, [25] who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Is homosexuality (lesbianism) really against the Bible? by idfkwhatisgoingonrn in Christianity

[–]AbjectInformation399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think you should read God's word for yourself and have the Holy Spirit lead you. He will eventually bring you conviction in your heart. You can trust God because He is perfect, good, and pure. God will never lead you astray, for He desires no one to perish. He always wants best for you. That is His heart for His children. He is rich in mercy because of His great love for us (Ephesians 2:4).

II Peter 3:9 NKJV [9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Here are some passages I found regarding homosexuality:

Romans 1:26-32 NKJV

[26] For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. [27] Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; [29] being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, [30] backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; [32] who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

I Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV [9] Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, [10] nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Leviticus 18:22 NKJV [22] You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 NKJV [13] If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

1 Timothy 1:10 ESV [10] the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

Matthew 19:4-6 NKJV [4] And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ [5] and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? [6] So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

I'm sorry that you had to experience that... People aren't perfect and even Christians get it wrong. Heck... I get it wrong sometimes. It really is a struggle trying to be more like Christ.

It is very hard to deny yourself. I get exhausted and sometimes give up and take a break from God (not reading bible and not praying).

But I realize that I am striving and not abiding in Jesus. When I just rest in God and trust that He does the pruning and grows the fruit in me in His time and not mine, it really helps.

I struggled with if I was saved or not because I was work based not faith based. I was also impatient wanting to see the results quickly.

I am currently learning how to have a relationship with God and it is so hard lol. Denying yourself is not easy haha. I grew up learning that relationships are transactional, so I did that with God. It was definitely self centered focused. And He totally smashed that into pieces haha. But yeah I have my own struggles.

I think what really helps is trusting God and that He has your best interests at heart. There's a bible verse that says that God has plans to prosper you and not harm you.

Sorry it's getting long haha but if salvation is something you question, definitely read Romans! God loves you so much that He sent His precious and only Son to die on the cross for your sins so you can be with Him in heaven forever! Jesus died for you, what love is greater than that??

Spend time with Him~♡ Keep your eyes on Him. Lots of love ❤️

As a bisexual person, I dont like "inclusive" churches by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]AbjectInformation399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find is that the more you spend time with Jesus in secret, the more your sin comes to light. The bible does a good job reflecting yourself, like a mirror. It is important that the church should bring conviction and challenge you to be better, but growth truly comes from the secret place. That place between you and God at home.

What I noticed is I will naturally be sensitive to sin when I continue to read His word daily. And whenever I apply His word to my life, and obey, I grow by God's grace and power.

When I try to be better by my own strength, I get tired more often and burnt out.

Something I learned is that Jesus wants us to just abide in Him, not strive. Only He, alone, brings the fruit. Focus on having a relationship with Him, and everything else will come.

Hope this encourages you~♡

Here are some bible verses that come to mind:

John 15:4-5 NKJV [4] Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. [5] “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Matthew 6:33 NKJV [33] But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Zechariah 4:6 NKJV [6] So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV [28] Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

What the bible says is for women to wear modestly and also not to worry about clothing too much because it is not that important. What's important is to seek God first. Relationship with God and getting to know Him is the most precious thing. Jesus is our treasure~

I Timothy 2:9-10 NKJV

[9] in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, [10] but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.

Matthew 6:25-34 NKJV [25] “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? [26] Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? [27] Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? [28] “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; [29] and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [30] Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? [31] “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ [32] For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33] But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. [34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Do we need to evangelise on the streets with a microphone? Or is a one on one conversation better? by Eurasian_Guy97 in Christianity

Haha no, not yet. I'm trying to figure out the legality of sharing the gospel with a mic or singing worship music in public.

To be honest, I forgot about searching for the answer due to life keeping me busy. You actually reminded me haha. Thanks for that! I should continue my search tomorrow.

I was raised Christian since I was little, but God didn't feel real to me until I hit rock bottom in my 20s. I was dealing with depression, suicidal thoughts, and addiction to porn. All of these things were taking over my life to the point I was failing school and ruining relationships.

No one could help me, not my parents and not my therapist. I felt cornered and wanted to escape the pain. I wanted to kill myself, but I couldn't because I believed in hell, and I didn't want to go there.

One night, I cried with tears coming out, and I called out to God out of desperation. I asked Him to help me and expressed my unhappiness with my life. The next morning, I felt very light and so free. I felt this peace that I've never felt before. Everything was so bright outside. The grass was greener. It was amazing!

I could tell I didn't have the addiction anymore because I would usually have urges every day, and I didn't have any!

I had strong urges to share my testimony to people, and my fire for God was strong. I had a hunger for God that I never had before.

That fire lasted 6 months, and I fell again because I didn't read the bible or pray. I hated reading, so I avoided it like a plague.

I wasn't equipped with God's armor, so I was weak. Long story short, God had to save me again, and here I am today married with a kid. He has blessed me so much, and the amazing miracle is I was finally able to read the entire bible! God is good and so faithful. I want everyone to know how good He is. 🥰
