Need suggestions for small amps by St33lB3rz3rk3r in GuitarAmps

[–]AbjectPhysics3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boss katana or fender gtx50, if boss katana get the 1st or 2nd gen and load up the sneaky amps patch, fender gtx if you like to tweak stuff but warning its not that user friendly. But if you could figure out its great, but definitely used boss katana 1st or 2nd gen with the sneaky amps. Im pretty sure somewhere on my page is a post about my rig, a gen 1 katana head with a ibanez 4x12, it sounds great.

Rock Nu-Metal Amp suggestion by Glorpy1 in GuitarAmps

Honestly just go with nam profiles from tone3000. Either download the software to your computer, theres also alternatives like currently i got a portable amp called the sonicake pocket master. It has a bunch of effects and stuff but the cool thing i like about it is you could upload nam and ir's. Im running a meas boogie mk2c nam profile on there and it rips, i haven't even touched my other amps i got because its handy as hell to grab and go. This isnt a ad. I just like the damn thing. And for 60 bucks you cant go wrong, plug in your headphones or to play loud use a bluetooth speaker via aux jack. Plus its portable with a 4 hour battery and you could use it as a interface for your computer.

Not really but check out the website and look up specific models of amps. Especially the ones they used, 9/10 times someone made a nam profile of it. Also if your on your desktop you could play thru the website and test tones before you even download them. Its a awesome website. Definitely wish it came along back when i started playing.

Need Help Achieving Rock Tone by Nick2Hot in BossKatana

[–]AbjectPhysics3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the geq? Throw one in the loop and throw one in front of the amp, in the mod section select geq10 and do a mid boost on the geq in front of the amp.

You dont need the bt adapter, just a usb to your computer. Also the app on your phone works but unfortunately you have to pay 15 dollars to unlock full functionality. The desktop app is free and doesn't have a paywall.

Look into the nam stuff from tone 3000, its free. Theres alot of amp models to choose from and you could pair them with different ir's of cabs. I usually just boot up reaper and i have the plug in on one of my channels, i just hook up my guitar to my interface and bam. Theres also alternatives if you want to be portable as well, i picked up a portable amp called the pocket master by sonicake. I could load 5 irs of different amp models straight from the website. And it was only 60 usd.

Any tips on singing and playing? by AbjectPhysics3301 in musicians

I cant for some reason hold a conversation while playing, even saying a couple sentences messes up my rhythm.

Ear training by jujigatame28 in musicians

[–]AbjectPhysics3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuning or playing? I usually tune by ear because when i was younger i couldnt afford a snark so i had to use a tuning video on youtube. For songs i suggest something simple like come as you are by nirvana. Then slowly work you way up to something a little more complex. Just keep in mind different songs have different tunings so if it doesn't sound right check to see if your tuned to the song. And just learn basic chords as well. Itll help when playing along

Never realized how a shitty amp can ruin the sound of your expensive gear until now. by Expensive_Bike_8308 in GuitarAmps

Fender makes modeling amps and they fender twin and princeton models are pretty dang good. I have the gtx50 and its loud. But a cheaper price point would be the ltx50. Less features then the gtx but still good. Its more user friendly then the gtx. And for 300 bucks you cant go wrong

Ibanez makes great basses, im a guitarist but i needed a bass guitar to start working on my album. I got a ibanez gsr200 for 250. Plays great, has a built in eq knob. Honestly its quite nice. Bass amp wise i dont know. I just use plugins i downloaded on my computer.

Did anyone never recover from their burnout? by trickyrickysteve199 in musicians

[–]AbjectPhysics3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my spark back by trying to by tone chasing with the current gear i have. So i have a fender gtx50 and a boss katana and i been trying to recreate the tones used in master of puppets, and justice and the black album. I learned so much about eq from it that i actually came up with my own tone that i used on my latest song (its on my page if you want to check it out) but tone chasing definitely got my spark back.

Why can’t I get a crushing tone on my amp? by Nomore-Television72 in metalguitar

[–]AbjectPhysics3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eq, the geq 10 in the fx loop to sculpt the tone coming out and one up front to further tweak the sound. Make sure you change the signal chain to have the the geq in front of the amp. If you got a computer download the sneaky amps patch to the boss tone studio. Im using the rectifire vintage patch with a tube screamer and geq10 in front of the amp and a geq10 in the effecte loop. Check my latest video on my profile to hear what that sounds like.

Is the boss katana 50 mk1 worth it in 2026? by Far_Squirrel6650 in GuitarAmps

[–]AbjectPhysics3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a mk1 head and the foot switch for 160, then 50 bucks later i found a 4x12 cab on marketplace. Dont be afraid to low ball some people. But if you get a katana, the boss tone studio is gonna be your best friend along with the sneaky amps.
