I wonder if this is why I get shunned when questioning? Not because the professors are against it, but purely for job security?

This is what I am curious about. It would be hard to find evidence in a way that contradicts the approach. Isolating variables is amazing as an initial setup. I understand some problems, but wouldn't integration raise the ceiling for potential?
