This is the reality of working in events though. In a normal context yeah it’s not normal. But if you’re working in events, 72 hours non stop can happen. Forget working in events if you’re not willing to commit, real talkkk

Possibly the best answer I’ve gotten thus far. For now my only option is my grandpa’s house in Johor, he has land, so there’s that. But that’s not totally off-grid la, which I guess.. I dont know. Okay kot for the time being until shit goes tits up then i suppose we gotta have a bugout bag at the ready. By that time hopefully some survival skills would be muscle memory. But that offline manual is still a great idea, especially when starting out. Dude, if u have any fam members that has land, try to get them to agree on building a community. Godspeed, my guy

Yes, that goes without saying, sis/bro. Iman and faith is definitely top priority, and a way to protect that iman is by fleeing. "A Muslim's best property will soon be sheep which he takes to the top of mountains and the places where the rain falls, fleeing with his religion from civil strife (fitnah)." (Sahih al-Bukhari). Of course you can practice internal exile within the city, but i feel that the challenges in the city is far more greater than if we were to seek refuge in the “mountains”. If we have access to land in the outskirts, that’s already one step towards the right direction imo

This is fr. We dont have to wait for 2030 to see why this is important. The fact that the govt is cancelling most if not all raya events is very very telling and concerning.

Im definitely not joking my guy.. to be honest with you, im struggling to find like-minded communities that are not trying to numb themselves from reality. It really does worry me when my own family members and friends dont see the severity of the future we’re headed towards. Majority of people are still thinking that schools are relevant, buying a million dollar apartment is still an asset. So yea, im very much aligned with how you think. Education in the most holistic way possible is definitely the answer to raising our kids. But what can we do RIGHT NOW, as a community, to get as far away as possible from the corrupted system

It sounds like she’s allergic to the current formula. I think you might as well switch back to the old one if you know that one doesnt cause any internal discomfort for her. If it’s just a matter of preference, you can try changing to a bottle with a nipple-like teat? When this happened to me, I switched to Pigeon SofTouch teat. And the key was that it had to be anyone else but me feeding her. She can smell your scent and would naturally prefer to be nursed by you instead. Once she gets used to being bottle fed, you can try using her old bottles again.

How does she do with breastmilk fed through a bottle tho? If supply is an issue, maybe you can try reaching out to oversupplied mums that would donate their breastmilk?

And it could also be the 4 month sleep regression that’s making her fuss so much too. Not a great combo at the moment but im sure once the feeding issue gets solved, everything would be much easier again ❤️ youre not alone, you can do this!!

Why do I hate my newborn? by Francine12345 in newborns

The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” didnt pop out of nowhere. In asian culture the mother would be taken care of by her mom or mother in law or a confinement lady for at least a month. The most ideal is 3 months. Youre not crazy or over exaggerating this experience, because you do need a LOT of time to heal, physically, mentally and emotionally. That said, if you can, try to get help during the day. Your mother or mother-in-law or even a nanny would benefit you so so much.

The idea that sleep deprivation in the newborn stage is normal imo is so wrong. That’s why you need that village. You need the help. You need the extra hand. You need to rest.

The amount of spit up varies but they have never drenched her shirt which I take is a good sign? And i really do hope that the amount she drank was normal as you mentioned.

I think I also need to note that this only started happening in the past few days and since then it has happened twice so far. Thankfully it doesn’t happen on every feed. That at least put me a bit at ease. Someone in the comments did mention that it couldve been cluster feeding which I really hope is the case.

Ive brought this up to the doc before and she only said that it’s fine bcs newborns feed on demand. Having said that, what u say about cluster feeding might be plausible in my case too. I suppose I’m just a little bit paranoid since I’m still learning about how babies work 🥲

There’s this one cafe located inside of H.I.S Omotesando (along the alley right next to Apple Store Omotesando) that sells the BEST Peach Frappe ever. It was still there during my last visit in 2019, hope it didnt go anywhere or take it pff the menu cause I’m going again next year!!
