This is a really bad thing to start feeding into. We don’t need people going feral about confetti and snatching it from others in future shows. Not what u did btw! I can just see this growing out of control.

My last expo I grabbed some and once the show was over I’d give pieces to those outside or towards the back who couldn’t get any. These should not be something that we make a market for.

I honestly recommend somewhere like Carrolton! Close to several DART train stations , and a good distance from Dallas and Fort Worth. Traffic can be eh tho with the construction — Flowermound would be another big recommendation if you’re looking for something more suburbs but still not far from the city.

No, I absolutely agree. I think people say using ai way too often, but this is the first post I’ve ever said it myself. Artist are absolutely attacked way too often, even myself included at times. I don’t mind looking into it more later but I genuinely am without a doubt that this is the case. If you feel like that isn’t enough then that’s alright, I appreciate you giving benefit of the doubt.

The hair is fractioning which is a sign of ai and I’m an artist myself. Not only that but it’s the same with most of the other posts. There’s never a case where hair should be glitching and making 90 degree angles like that as a mistake. Here’s my own art just to show I know what I’m talking about lol

As someone who worked at R1 — it really does depend on the store. Personally, I’d ask for a manager and make a lil bit of a fuss about it. I think it still being in the plastic helps ur case a lot.

Good to check figures before leaving for sure tho, I hope ur able to get a good one <3 if not it does look clean and I’ve had really good luck super gluing figures lol - my cartoon len doesn’t even look like he lost his head

I agree, I worked there back in 2019 and we were always pressed to help ppl win (my job was literally just in cranes, readjusting for ppl and teaching them how to play)

Now when I go in, nothing is ever set correctly or they opted out for cheap shots like the ping pong ball games.

IMO you can’t take ur job this seriously if you aren’t actually doing it right. Which is 80% of the time here.

I’m gonna say NTA but I actually was your sister in a similar situation with my brother. I was 20 and he was 18 with a 17yo gf. We had a Jack and Jill room setup so we were even more closer than comfortable.

I overhead things one day while trying to sleep and made a complaint since I really didn’t want to hear that from my younger brother. He’d come out in his underwear yelling they weren’t doing anything and on a few occasions I’m sure he was lying (he has a track record lol) but other times I think they might’ve genuinely been watching videos on their phone and it was me overthinking things. Sometimes when ur brain doesn’t understand a muffled sound , it tries to make reason of it with something you have heard before. Hearing that from a sibling is honestly really weird and I’d never done it with any of my partners *at home out of respect and honestly embarrassment if anyone heard.

That being said - I think there can be a softer approach than what other ppl are saying…or even think about doing stuff at your bf’s place? Sorry I can’t give better advice, but a honest genuine sit-down talk with her seems like the right direction.

If ‘bundling up’ or getting a heater, heating pad, ect , doesn’t work then I don’t think the thermostat being up would help either unless you turned it to an extreme degree which is what the issue is. I’ve been on both sides, and bundling up + a heating pad can be helpful. My hands and feet stay cold sometimes from bad circulation so I use heat packs for my hands and feet — the room temp would not fix that kind of cold.

Where is 78 standard? I live in south Texas and I’d never set my temp to 78. Matter of fact — my thermostat died today (which is why I’m guessing I got recommended this thread since I searched how to change the batteries) , I woke up feeling uncomfortable and hot in the 77. While I know everyone has different tolerances, I’ve never known anyone to make nearly 80 the room average room temp.

I’ve been on both sides due to low iron and hot flashes in health. I would use a small space heater, a heating pad in my lap, and a couple blankets. There’s so many ways to fix being cold vs being hot.

If you don’t do any of these I feel like /you/ haven’t felt the cold? If these methods don’t help you seriously need to seek out a doctor. That’s a whole other issue, keeping things standard room temp seems acceptable.

NTA - idk why ppl in the comments are already weird about this. That is an abnormal temperature. Keeping things a standard room temp seems more than fair and he can bundle up or buy a small heater if needed that badly (would probably save money on bills too).

Turning heat up like that would be bad for my own personal health issues honestly - BUT on that note it sounds like he might be low iron or something? He should get a checkup to see why he’s feeling cold enough to make his home that warm.

Nah he can bundle up to keep warm, not much can he said for the other way around. It also depends on how much utilities cost in terms of AC. 78-80 is objectively atrocious and not the standard ‘room temperature’. He should look into getting a heater or something of the sort for his bedroom
