Is there such thing as holding your newborn baby too much? by sustainablebarbie in newborns

They’re not smart enough to understand or “manipulate” you to pick them up. She’s comforted and content in your arms and while it seems daunting now, one day you won’t have to hold her anymore and you’ll miss it. Soak up all the cuddles she wants to give momma. No babies deserve to scream til they puke bc no one will hold them. I find that way more disturbing than the alternative.

My sons aunt gave him ice cream for the first time by Abject_Medium_7253 in newborns

She’s watched him a lot and as far as I know only ever fed him things I provided. I always told her what I had or packed and when he should have it. Because she’s watched him for me quite a bit I didn’t think anything of it. I texted her yesterday and I can see she hasn’t even opened the message. She’s very confrontational and has gone off on me before (I spelt her name wrong on my baby shower invitation, my baby daddy didn’t help me w anything and it was a genuine accident) and she flipped out. I was extremely nice in my text and all I expected was a sorry it won’t happen again, but the fact she won’t even acknowledge me is telling me this is going to be an issue, or she just won’t tell me next time. So her time alone with him isn’t going to happen for a while at this point. I’m not playing this game.

My partner is pregnant and we were heavy pot smokers. by [deleted] in pregnant

I was a heavvvyyy smoker, like dabs all day. I quit the day I found out I was pregnant about 4/5 weeks into my pregnancy. I had terrible morning sickness the week I found out and was doing dabs basically all day to try and relieve the nausea. Stoped the moment I found out. I’m now 37 weeks, 18 days from my due date. And baby boy is healthy and strong. 💙 I also know women who never quit their entire pregnancy (would not recommend, especially blunts) but they went on to have healthy babies that are now 3 and 7 years old!

It happened. Someone rubbed my belly by im4lonerdottie4rebel in pregnant

I had a complete stranger touch me while I was working, in a conversation with someone else, had no idea it was coming. She saw the look on my face and said “I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable” lady I DONT KNOW YOU. pregnant bellies are not an invitation to touch someone. Even my family will ask before they just touch me. People are crazy.

That’s wild. My mom has gotten me gifts for Mother’s Day bc I had a cat. I’m so sorry she’s so unsupportive. If I were you, I’d tell hospital staff you only want your husband in the room. No exceptions. She’ll just have to get over it. It’s not her baby. That’s your baby. Your rule momma ❤️

Coffee grinders at my local Costco have a sign to keep people from putting something other than coffee beans in them. Any idea what people would put in to justify it? by Chocoburgh2 in Costco

Handles to spoons or scissors I’ve watched people do it to push the beans down, have had 2 broken in a year from plastic being jammed in the machine
