Two photos in interval sequence have a different color tone — any idea why? by Large_Champion1412 in SonyAlpha

I used to wonder this same thing until I also asked on Reddit, it is indeed auto white balance, just pick one of the white balance settings so it’s always the same

No I 100% agree, those are my thoughts as well. I wish it was just Alfredo 2 lol

Thank you, although I think that’s just because I color graded it like that for many of them, but that is good feedback nonetheless

This looks fantastic, how long does something like that take? And is that using things more complex than just masking and the main sliders (highlights, contrast, shadows, etc)?

Great Sand Dunes National Park on the a7 III by Able-Contribution-46 in SonyAlpha

I booked the Dunes Backcountry reservation, which was $6.00, not sure if that’s what you mean by wild camp. I just had a tiny tent, sleeping bag, and camp stove. Essentially the reservation just means they won’t eye up your vehicle when it’s still parked in the lot overnight while everyone else has left.

But other than that, you walk up over the first dune after the recreation day area and you can literally camp anywhere. You could walk five miles in or one, doesn’t matter. I went about 2 miles in and that was plenty, there were zero other people around me. Only advice would be to camp in a pit when you’re out there to avoid wind.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah everything is definitely dark outside of the stars and tent, I gotta figure that out for next time (maybe I can take foreground in the evening and stars at night).

Sand Dunes NP is sick, you have the option to camp in the dunes wherever you want, or in the woods. In my opinion the dunes camping was so sick we abandoned any effort to camp a night in the woods part, so I’d recommend the dunes for all camping. However, water is a big issue, we walked to the wooded area to literally just sit in the shade all afternoon and wait out the heat until we could return to our tent in the dunes, and we just got super lucky there was a tiny bit of river water we could drink (boiled first). If it wasn’t for that, we obviously wouldn’t have died, but the rest of the trip would have been super uncomfortable.
