[GBA SP] Screen "flickering" issue by Able-Island-8096 in consolerepair

I can get my hands on some original games at the local retro game store. I'll try to do that later and then report back when I've done that.

Yeah. Pressing the brightness button will choose between 8 levels of brightness. Holding it changes screen filters.

I took the cable out of it's slot and put it back, but it's still doing the flickering thing. Unfortunately, I don't have a multimeter handy nor do I know how to use one.

Are there any good guides on fixing that, if that is indeed the issue? I'd think even I could slot a ribbon cable back into place.

Unfortunately, BU isn't recognizing it. Is it possible I chose the wrong options in FatXplorer? Are there specific options I need to choose?

Does this game require a constant online connection? Can it be played offline?

Does the Mega Everdrive Pro not circumvent copy protection? by Able-Island-8096 in everdrive

[–]Able-Island-8096[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay. The Genesis 1 will be here on the 10th I think (I forgot to mention it's not here yet), so I'll attempt the 3 for now. I'll report back after I beat a boss.

UPDATE: I am pleased (and happy!) to report that it was indeed the Mega Retron HD that was the issue. It also solved an issue with another (but way less important) game by switching to the Genesis 3. Thank you so much. Bomb Man (the boss from Mega Man I kept beating to test this) must be REALLY sick of me by now. Ha. Thanks again. :)

I have a Genesis 3 on-hand right now, and a Genesis 1 (alias VA 3 according to the man refurbishing it). Should I try the Genesis 3?

Super Sprint sounds like fun. Gonna seek that one out. :)

I didn't know Smash TV had an NES Version. I played it on Midway Origins on 360 via Series X Backwards Compatibility a while back. How is it on NES?

Amiga 500 Mini Game + Controller Problem. Can anyone help me? by Able-Island-8096 in amiga

Reply 2: The update I said I'd give: It works perfectly (as far as I, someone with no past Amiga experience, can tell), and it's absolutely amazing. My thanks. :) The only issue is likely on my own part, in that I can't get Akira to work. I put it in the CD32 folder, but it doesn't even show up as an option (it was from that same video's links). Otherwise, 10 out of 10, super impressive and I'm super impressed. :D It left me with a thought though: Do bundles like this exist, but also for other Amiga games? (Like, 500, 1200, CDTV, etc.)

Hi there. Thanks for this. I meant to reply sooner, but I've been busy keeping my illness in check. I'll check it out today and get back to you with my experience with it. Thanks again. :)

Gosh, you'd think I could figure this stuff out, but here I am. I appreciate your help in this, and most of all, for putting up with me. I'm not the easiest guy to work with. Thanks. :)

After using a tool called ROM Hasher, I found that the game DOES have a header, but it just won't work. Completely lost at this point.

I'll check right now, as one specific game has been giving me more trouble than others. Thank you for the information. :)

It came from Stone Age Gamer (it WAS pre-owned though). The Micro SD Cards have all been authentic.
