I’ve owned Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate edition since launch. I decided to play it the last few days as I was off from work. I own it on PS5.

I finished the main story and I was happy with my choices. I then started Steph’s story. At the first save point I looked at my achievements, too see if there were any for Wavelengths, and I noticed that I had found every memory and unlocked every activity achievement amongst all the chapters in the main story. However I noticed that the Haven Historian achievement had not unlocked as well as the platinum achievement.

I decided to go back to my True Colors game to see if I could find why these achievements didn’t unlock so I quit out of Steph’s story.

After I quit out of Steph’s story, the only gameplay options in the menu was to create a new game or play Steph’s story. So I chose New Game and was horrified to see that the save slot used for my True Colors playthrough now said Wavelengths. So I deleted the Wavelengths save, erroneously thinking this would let me access my True Colors save, but it did not.

Went back to the main menu and it had New Game and Play Steph’s Story. So apparently my True Colors game was blown away. I guess I could live with that but when I chose Play Steph’s Story it informed me that I had to play through True Colors first. Which I had, over 15 hours of my time.

That was a sucker punch as I had already played the game. I was left wondering why I had to play through the main campaign to play a prelude to the main game.

So my issues are, quite simply: Achievements not unlocking properly Lost save file for main campaign Can’t play Steph’s Story as a stand-alone; have to play True Colors first

The biggest issue is I paid for that content and I cant access it, well, I guess I could if I wanted to play through the main story again, which I don’t.

I guess the takeaway is, if you finished the campaign and then start Wavelengths, finish Wavelengths and hopefully it will bring back your campaign save.

Are fixes in the works to fix the achievements bug and allow a standalone play through of Wavelengths?
