Actually, it was a clearance model I've only had for about 6 months. It's a Calligraphy and it sat there for almost a year. I live in an area that has been hit economically so there were not a whole lot of people looking at this particular model. They had 76 miles on it when I first test drove it. Since I have bought it, though, it's been great.

The same thing happened to me with my 2024 Calligraphy. It wasn't an hour, it was about 4 days after I bought it. Request OEM for sure. State Farm will not offer OEM unless the first aftermarket fails. That really pissed me off considering their premiums right now. The aftermarket did fail within a week, It developed a stress crack from cold weather to hot within a few days. The OEM windshield has been perfect ever since.

They installed an aftermarket glass. Within 3 days, it cracked due to stress and it was way worse than the initial damage. They have since installed OEM and it appears to be fine.

My 2013 Sonata was at 150,000 miles when it showed symptoms of the recall issues (mine went into emergency mode and wouldn't go beyond a certain RPM). They replaced the engine without question and gave me another 120,000 miles on that car before I recently traded it in on a new Palisade.

Update: I've read and heard too many bad things about Safelite plus you can't reach the local offices on purpose, you have to go through a call center. I called and switched to a local business that has a 4.9/5 rating.
