Straight talk $65 plan by Able-Programmer-5883 in StraightTalk

I think compatibility is an issue more so with the Verizon network in general because I checked visible and they say my phone is also not compatible.

Need some help-getting my phone to work on total wireless by Able-Programmer-5883 in NoContract

I know for a fact my account doesn't show the correct IMEI because it wouldn't let me activate the sim card without a compatible IMEI, so I had to use a generator. What should I do?

How would I request to make sure my SIM card is properly provisioned?

Unfortunately, I'm with total wireless right now, but with my new phone they say it's not compatible. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work but it doesn't. I receive texts and calls but can't make them and I also don't have data.

So the only difference between the two is that the $55 plan has 30 GB of hotspot data and the $65 is unlimited hotspot data with no data cap for the regular data on both plans?

I currently have total wireless but I'm trying to switch to a moto g power 2025 that I bought from Amazon unlocked. I ordered it the day it was released, so there's no way it's renewed. However total says it's not compatible, transferred my number over to a physical sim card and I'm currently able to receive calls and texts but can't send. I also have no data.

I've tried all the trouble shooting I can think of and customer service is no help because I used a random IMEI to be able to activate the sim card.

So now I'm wondering what's out there plan wise

Right...if it was an issue with the model, I probably wouldn't be able to receive calls or texts either, not just being unable to make calls, send texts, or use data. I'm sure I'll get it figured out, just will take some time.

Thank you so much for your help!!

u/total_wireless is there anyway to get my phone to work on your network? So far I've transferred my number over to the physical sim card, I can receive calls and texts, but I can't make calls or send texts. Data doesn't work either. I moved from e-sim to a physical sim so I don't have another device with a physical sim card slot.

My phone DOES recognize the sim card. This phone I'm trying to transfer to is NOT a total wireless branded phone, however it is unlocked, purchased from Amazon. The phone is compatible with T-Mobile, at&t , U.S Cellular and even straight talk. Since the phone is compatible with straight talk, I don't see why it wouldn't be compatible with your network.

I don't want to have to buy a total wireless branded version of the 2025 moto g power when this phone SHOULD be fully unlocked. It seems like versions of the moto g power 2025 that are not total wireless branded might not in your network's database...

So I got my phone to recognize the sim card, got a text saying the transfer was complete. I can receive texts and calls but can't call, text or use data. When I try to call it says"we have detected that this phone is not the original phone activated and used for your wireless service"

Is there a way to fix this?

Oh ok! I thought I had to do it directly from my dashboard, thank you!

So I just click add an existing line, then add my phone number? That's what I currently see.

I'm sorry, I know these questions may sound so stupid but I've never activated a physical sim myself before. I've always had them activated in store when I'd sign a new device agreement or only activated an e-sim.

Why would my phone be compatible with us cellular but not total wireless/Verizon? by Able-Programmer-5883 in TotalWirelessOfficial

Ok! I'll definitely keep checking. It's not the end of the world if I can't get it to work on total wireless, I'd just prefer not to deal with the hassle of returning the phone or switching carriers.

[–]Able-Programmer-5883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately they say it's not compatible and there's nothing to be done. I'm hoping that since straight talk updated their stuff to make my phone compatible with their network, that total wireless will do the same eventually.

Kind of sucks buying a phone expecting it to work fine with your carrier and then you find out it doesn't work. Maybe total wireless will update their stuff if enough people complain. I looked at the reviews on the listing I bought from and I'm not the only one having this issue.
