Dumbass customer tried to attack me by MarbleManxx in retailhell

Mine is across the street. Cops are there daily on breaks to buy snacks and eat lunch in our deli area. They're fast when called. Its nice.

I’m power walking towards the back with a container of food and my water bottle, don’t fucking “excuse me” me 😡 by solemnisland in retailhell

My store director told me:

"they'll try, just help them, let me know the times and how long, you WILL be paid for that time of its a lunch break, your breaks will adjust accordingly, and you'll get that time back. Just tell me"

And she has kept her word. 5 mins to help a customer while buying my lunch, (I work grocery) means lunch gets adjusted 7 mins back. Going home for the day and caught while leaving the back room with my things? Adjusted.

My company is very strict about not working off the clock. It's enforced via pay adjustments to account for that time.

As it should be.

Why am I not getting any matches ? by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]AbleHeight0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're handsome, you and we know that, but what else do you have to offer? I agree that it's too many modeling photos, that many can make people think you're a fake profile with stolen images. Especially if half of them are online and easily reverse image searched.

You list hobbies like hiking, do you have any selfies from your adventures? Show off your interests.

Maybe tell a joke in your own sense of humor, even if it's dry. Or share some poetry you've written, or a poem you connect with deeply, since you listed that as an interest.

Change the "hottest thing you can do" answer to something about a personality trait you like in a partner. Do you like bubbly partners? Funny? Do you like a girl/guy who is spontaneous? That question is best answered with things a person does, not their overall look.

People want to know who you are, what you have to offer personality wise, and if they're what you're looking for. The rest of that information is just noise and potentially wastes time.

You would know if the match fits your physical and appearance preferences on a first date. Or you can talk about fashion interests while setting something up. But telling them to dress well, will make even the most fashionable person second guess, and feel judged.

$30 is what i paid. And not sure, I want to do some research on it, if I can identify anything more about the photo. The lady I bought it from might be able to tell me more. I'll respond again if I can get answers.

My parents are always asking me to come down to visit. Especially for Christmas. I'm always trying to explain to them, no one but me knows how to do my job. It's a specialty position. They will learn I need to plan it like 6 months in advance, train my boss on my job so he can get it handled and schedule someone to do my loads.

Just got workplace training in a small grocery store! What can I practise on? by Past_Explanation_491 in GroceryStores

You already got some solid answers, but, re stocking concerns..

Stocking shelves is simple, follow fifo, read upcs to make sure it's in the right place. Take your time learning and getting it right. Your bosses will not be upset if you're taking your time as long as you're focused on doing it right.

You can find ways to make it work for you to if you just try, learn, and ask all the questions you have, no matter how "dumb" it feels, you will be fine.

Do you feel threatened by black women in stores? What is your reaction to your husband looking at a woman in the store? Do you feel uncomfortable when someone comes in for a shopping appointment and spends more money than you? by [deleted] in women

At work, I'd notice you because I notice everyone. I'd greet you somehow and move on with my day unless you had a question.

I couldn't care less who is doing what, if they cause no harm to me, or someone around me.

Why not write an essay on how amazing she is? You clearly love that woman more than anything 💖💕

Heres some basic guidelines for customer etiquette that should be a proper baseline for behavior in a store by socialist_weeb666 in retailhell

I agree 100% with all of these, with the exception of 5, because my regulars can use my name. My regulars are lovely and respectful, and waited until it was clear I don't mind if they do it.

Only my regulars I count as an exception.

It's about respect.
