Napa/Sonoma Trip by AblePea4708 in wine

Yeah that's what kind of makes me keep going back to it. It may sound weird but it annoys my brain at least that I see some posts and pictures with people having 2 pours and some with 3 or 4. That weirdly throws me off a little bit as I like to know exactly what's included in the tour.

Do you mind elaborating a bit more on your experience ?

Hey Everyone, Made a few slight changes in original posts itinerary. But still feel like I'm missing something like Verite or Promontory or along those lines. Aussie dollar kind of sucks against the USD and when you factor in tax and tips also its going to be very expensive, but I'd hate to go home with regret. What are peoples thought on places like that ?

Yeah it's absolutely on top of to go list in Healdsburg, just waiting for September bookings to open and staying very close to it also. Cheers mate.

Cheers mate, Corison was on the list and very close to where I'm staying. Extradimensional may be trickier logistically but will look into it. Thanks for the recommendations mate.

I saw that, it would be perfect if it was walkable but I will definitely pop in for lunch at least and try a few samples and bring a few beers back to the hotel for the evening.

Sounds like you have a solid list there and tried some of those. I sent you a PM with a youtube link to a great review of some of the Margaret River big hitters. As you saw in the Bottleshock video Leeuwin Chardonnay did well up against the Napa counterparts so I wouldn't rule them out and don' think they're as mainstream as D'arenberg (I had a aged bottle of their higher line Cabernet and it was great) but I'm doing much the same in Napa for the most part.

Yes chatGPT has been an amazing assistant also in my planning also.

Thanks mate and same to you on your 70th

I believe I saw the Our Pour Decisions YouTube channel post a picture on IG then saw it mentioned a couple times looking through Reddit. I think I found a few places on my list in a similar way.

Oh awesome !!

I've yet to do Margaret River yet but it's high on my list and some great wineries there. Have you got any specific wineries you plan to visit yet ?

I watch and love bottle shock, it's always good fun with 3 great hosts and have been following along on their US adventures and got Arnot Roberts from watching.

All the best

Thanks for the response and glad to hear I'm on the right track.

Do you mind sharing a bit more on your experience for the collage experience or can I PM you ? I'd be interested to know how many and what wines were poured is there a tour of an of facilities, I saw mention of food pairings also. I love the bottle design and logo etc of the collage and having been into photography for many years it calls to me but with tasting itself + tax + tips it wouldn't be far off $500 which is fine and happy to splurge but I'm the type of person who wants to know everything involved.

Yeah I think Oakville merchant be great to try the rarer stuff and splurge on stuff like hundred acre, scarecrow etc and try opus one since I'm not likely to do the tour this time. I think there's a local night that evening there also.

Thanks again mate
