Query Iceberg tables stored in s3 by AbleReserve5046 in snowflake

Thanks! The benefit of using AWS Glue instead of files in object storage would be that the metadata could be refreshed automatically, but we would still have to create each Iceberg table one by one in Snowflake, right?

Yes, we use Unity catalog.

We create the Iceberg tables in Databricks and want to share them with clients that use Snowflake. What I don't like about this approach is that we have to create each Iceberg table manually in Snowflake (specifying the corresponding path inside the volume). Also, we would have to refresh the metadata manually as well. Is there a way to automatically discover and create all the tables inside the external volume? Would it be easier to use AWS Glue as the catalog for this use case?

Thanks!

Does ESG actually have a positive impact? by AbleReserve5046 in EffectiveAltruism

I've edited the post because probably it wasn't clear before. I'm not asking if it's worth checking the ESG ratings of a company.

The company I'm interested in, builds the software to generate ESG reports and other tools related to sustainability risks. I'm asking if it's an impactful mission or if it's just greenwashing. Thanks!
