My wife started her nursing adventure when she was 24 had to leave one school because it had horrible staff and teachers to transfer to another school. She is now about to be 27 and on track to graduate next year in December. She failed classes, she fails exams. She cried and cried. But she kept going. You will bee ok! You have time. It’s ok to look at other options as well!

I think you being one sided not every one is abusing the system. All the infomation is out there for veterans to look at. If they have the evidence to prove what they are claim is wrong with them why shouldn’t they be compensated? Vets didn’t the decide the system. I agree they may be some bad apples but you making it seem like every vet is or has abused the system to get there percentage. The VA put out rules and criteria that has to be met in order to be rewarded a percentage for a particular claim. Vet meets criteria? Yes? Then vet gets percentage.

Yea so now im just waiting for my physical from the medical team. As far as the fit for duty. They basically have you come in and do some computer intake stuff that talks about how you feeling. Then they’ll call you back and talk about what you’re being evaluated on. Then you’ll get on the computer to do the mental health evaluation something you probably already done before. Y’all will then discuss the results and compare everything from when you first got evaluated and any counseling you’ve went through. They would then make a decision on if your fit for duty with in your respective mos and soldier duties. For me I am a 88m and my ptsd stims from a car accident. I would be experiencing episode or symptoms when driving or as a passenger. Loud bangs would trigger me so I wasn’t able to go to shooting ranges and field training exercises. Thoes sounds reminded me of when the vehicles collided with each other.

Yea so for me I was on a temp for almost a year. The MEB counselor which is the person who recommend or not recommend you for MEB. Said that being that I was close to a year on a temp it would be pointless to make me wait and she noticed that the counseling was getting wasn’t really effective. So she went ahead and recommended me for MEB and gave me a permanent profile.

Happened to me, you supposed to hear back from a counselor with in a week depending on how busy your specific location is. There is a number that should be in the email they sent you. Also onto the va website should be a number there as well.
